May 1, 200719 yr Sept. 1 Eastern KY Home Sept. 8 Kent St. Home Sept. 15 Louisville Home Sept. 22 Arkansas Away Sept. 29 Flordia Atlantic Home Oct. 4 South Carolina Away Oct. 13 LSU Home Oct. 20 Flordia Home Oct. 27 Mississippi St. Home Nov. 10 Vanderbilt Away Nov. 17 Georgia Away Nov. 24 Tennessee Home This is UK's schedule for next year. This could be one of the toughest schedules in the country next year. I have no doubt in my mind that we will be improved as a team next year, but I'm afraid it wont show up in the Win column. What kind of record do you see the Cats having next season? I think UK will be the less talented team in 6 games next year. Louisville, Arkansas, LSU, Flordia, Georgia, and Tennessee will all be more talented than us. Not saying we can't beat them, but if we both come out and play well then UK will probabley not win. *Even though we beat Georgia last year, that dosn't happen very often at UK. When was the last time UK won 2 straight against the dogs? When was the last time we beat them in Athens? *I think UK is closing the gap on Louisville, but they are still better overall than UK. The diffrence in each teams 1's may not be that big, but the diffrence lies in UofL's 2's & 3's. *Arkansas is bringing back the best tandem of backs in the country and UK usually has problems with big time backs. Even though this is the team I think we may have the best chance of getting, not many people will walk out of Arkansas this year with a win. *Flordia is more athletic, more experienced, and just plain out better in every way. It would take a great game by the Cats and an awful game from the Gators to have a shot at this one. *LSU: See Flordia *Tennessee gave us every chance to beat them last year and we blew it. I'm afraid they won't give us another chance like that. When push comes to shove they are more talented than us and we need them, to help us out if we plan to pull out the W. So I predict UK as going 6-5 with the win against Arkansas coming as my surprise for the year.
May 1, 200719 yr Author My bad. I meant 7-5. That is giving them a Win over Arkansas which I'm not sure they can do, but I am pulling for them.

They have a slim shot at beating UL...not a great one.
May 1, 200719 yr Just seeing this thread gets me excited, I can't wait for football season.:dancingpa As for the Cats, I'm going to say a 7-5 season, and probably goin back to Music City.
May 1, 200719 yr Sept. 1 Eastern KY Home (WIN) Sept. 8 Kent St. Home (WIN) Sept. 15 Louisville Home (CLOSE LOSS) Sept. 22 Arkansas Away (WIN) Sept. 29 Flordia Atlantic Home (WIN) Oct. 4 South Carolina Away (WIN) Oct. 13 LSU Home (BIG LOSS) Oct. 20 Flordia Home (CLOSE LOSS) Oct. 27 Mississippi St. Home (WIN) Nov. 10 Vanderbilt Away (WIN) Nov. 17 Georgia Away (LOSS) Nov. 24 Tennessee Home (WIN) As the eternal optimist I am going with 8-4. If the defense is as improved as they looked in the Spring Game thats not out of the question. Neither is having a shot at the SEC East, which seems wide open this year. I am sure Florida will just reload, but a guy can dream.
May 1, 200719 yr I will digest this schedule and predict later this summer. Same with me, My last post was just an early thought at first glance of it.
May 1, 200719 yr The Ole Ball Coach has never lost to UK. What makes you think this year is any different? The Gamecocks should be a lot better this season than last, and they were more in control of that game that the score indicated.
