I voted Pro Bowl only b/c I think the Raidaaahhss are headed in the right direction, they have a tough D, they have a nucleus of O talent. Gallery is not a bust yet, and still could be pretty good.

If he picks up the NFL game quickly, mentally, he'll be a star.

Hard call, like looking at Vick. Undeniably unbelievable athletic ability that wins games. But to get to the championship level, will he have the strong fundamental game to make the plays that he cannot make with just athletic ability.

It seems like he could follow that same line that Vick is doing. Awesome ability and just can't make some plays with his arm when he needs to make those plays.

His game is the polar opposite of Vick...

I thought a weakness of him was making the touch throws?

Vick can mask that because of his mobility. Russell is not going to work out of the pocket...

So Russell can't throw the touch passes and is not great in scrambling? Is that what you are saying?

That is two things that is pretty vital for a QB to do. Of course, Davis loves throwing the ball down the field and he can do that.

Reminds me of Dante Culpepper...

....only bigger.

Russell was on teams at LSU that were more talented than 95% (or more) of the teams in which they played. It will be interesting to see how he stacks up when the opponent is just as stacked....

Russell has the potential to be a great player. Like all rookies he has a lot to learn. If he works at his game year round and doesn't get caught up in the lifestyle that some other NFL players have adopted he should have a nice career. He seems like an ok guy with a lot of family support so I think he will do well.

I was thinking the same thing. He only has one thing in common with Vick.

He is not a great "scrambler". He can run people over b/c he's HUGE, but he's quick.

Yeah you're right, except he's bigger, taller, stronger, and a has a better arm. That's all.

If he were going to the NFC, I'd vote Pro Bowler.
