April 28, 200719 yr I know what you are saying though and there was Pitinlo recruits left over on those teams, but imo whe he left they became Tubby's players and HE coached them. Your point is taken in that Pitino recruited those guys though. I am just amazed, well not really at all the Tubby bashing that is still going on. I really wasn't trying to Tubby bash. I think you got my point. I'm not arguing that its not Tubby's team or his title, BUT he didn't recruit the talent that got there, and since this thread is about the recruiting aspect I think its very applicable. Anyway.. what we both agree on is that we're 100% behind BCG! Go Cats!

I said he did bring in a few nice prospects, but bottomline it is UK! You even say fair share of talent, well at UK there should be boatloads of talent, and I think we will start to see this in the next 3-5. All I was saying is if he couldn't always bring em in at Kentucky, how will he ever at Minnessotta? And no one still answered that question, instead they just got onto another train and hopped on a totally different track. :thumb:

And you say we went from elite to unranked? Well 4 years ago Tubby Smith was the one who coached us back to the elite again and was one of the top 3 teams in the country! Then he had two bad years after that! Alot of you all for whatever reason like to seem to act like we have been having seasons like the last 2 for awhile now, and that is not true. Yeah after 99 we went downhill a little bit, but then Tubby took us back to the elite, and just unfortunately we didn't captitalize on it and that happens to good teams sometimes. So your last 4 years thing is just wrong, and should be only 2 years...
