Tubby will do fine. There is not a large amount of pressure to win...next year. A few games will do.

As for some other comments like "would like to know his definition of talent" and some other cheap shots at OTS I would say that "His definition of talent" won a few SEC titles, SEC tourney titles, a Final 4, a few Elite 8's and a National Championship. What is his average wins per season ? Isn't it arond 26 wins a year? Yeah, Tubby knows nothing :lol: . Amazing how some still can't wait to Tubby bash even after he is gone. That is what they wanted and it still doesn't stop .

 

Yes, I supported OTS and I still do, I wish him luck at Minnesota. I am also a TRUE Wildcat fan and I fully support Bill Gillispie.

If you're gonna get Adam Williams/Bobby Perry caliber players, you may as well get them in state.

I can argue all I want to the same as you can. You make a point about the national title / 98" team but OTS Coached that team and the fabulous Ricky was in no way there during the season with the sucsess of that team. I knew that subject would come up again . If you want to go on the 99' elite 8 team, to me that is also as ridiculous. I know what you are saying though and there was Pitinlo recruits left over on those teams, but imo whe he left they became Tubby's players and HE coached them. Your point is taken in that Pitino recruited those guys though. I am just amazed, well not really at all the Tubby bashing that is still going on . Absolutely ridiculous :lol:

Barring a significant change, new Gophers men's basketball coach Tubby Smith said he won't add any more players to the team's roster for next season.

 

When Smith was hired from Kentucky on March 22, he said he wasn't going to add a player just for the sake of adding one, saying a player would have to be able to immediately contribute.

 

After being on the job for a little over a month, Smith said he is leaning against adding another player.

 

"We're not going to bring anybody in unless they can help us," Smith said. "It's tough finding somebody who can do that at this point.

 

"If we don't, it would leave an extra scholarship for the next class, and we're recruiting some very talented players."

But Tubby doesn't want to get Minnesota level guys, The whole point of rebuilding is to get higher level players.

 

 

Tubby wasn't that successful at getting high level players at Kentucky other than a few instances. No way he gets top prospects at Minnesota.

Look at it on the bright side, at least he is insured the opportunity to play Penn State and Northwestern next season!

Hayes, Buike, Hawkins, Daniels, Fitch, Bogans, Camara, Estill, Rondo, Crawford, Bradley, Morris, Jasper, Stevenson, Meeks, Perry, Prince, Parker, Barbour, Allison, Carruth.....All these guys are good enough to play at any college in the country. Some are role players, others stars. Bottomline Tubby brought his fair share of talent to UK....
