Gary Thorne said on last nights broadcast of the Baltimore/Boston game that it was red paint. He said that Varitek told him it was fake, Varitek is denying he ever talked to Thorne. Just ridiculous, outside the lines with Bob Ley also covered it today.

It was Mirabelli, not Veritek. But you are right, he is denying it. They say it was a misunderstanding.
