The way they made this sound on NFL Live was that this was something that wasn't even suppose to get out. It was something told in confidence at the combine. So I would say others admitted, but someone decided to leak the high profile players.

They can test you anytime. If you are home during summer, they can send a representative to your house to randomly test you. They test both during the season and the off season.

I would almost bet, that if you asked every player in the NFL if they had ever smoked pot, that half, if not more, would say that they have...

I don't know what the NCAA's policy is but I do know that it doesn't affect what the players chose to do in their free time AT ALL.

"You are not going to see a draft like, for instance, Cincinnati's [in 2006], where they took four criminals in one draft, because the owners are going to start getting fined."

 

Could it be any more obvious that some team is trying to get a top player to fall to their draft position?

Calvin Johnson, Gaines Adams, and Amobi Okoye admitted to smoking pot. Would you still draft them? I think it shows alot of honesty and makes you want to trust them.

I'm not really surprised by this, I'd be willing to bet upwards of 50 - 75% of kids (and many being "good kids") have smoked pot at least once.

I'd say 90% has at least tried it once.....

My first apartment with some friends of mine, bongs and hard liquor everywhere. The typical single guys apartment, I was offered many a time and said no thanks.

 

Considering how hard it is to find honesty nowadays in anyone, you can't excuse what they did, but at least they were upfront about it and hopefully know it can't happen again.

There is also a thread on this subject in the college forum. Maybe someone can combine the two.
