April 10, 200719 yr He is good as gone... start looking for homes in Boston or Memphis. He would be a good fit for Memphis... I just thought about that...
April 10, 200719 yr IMO no reason to not go, he can always continue to take college classes if he wants to and have the huge bank account as well. Stock could only go down from this point.

April 17, 200719 yr Can someone explain to me why Mike Conley, Sr. is saying Oden isn't sure yet, but Oden's father is saying that he's going pro? Isn't this a little weird to anyone else?
April 17, 200719 yr Author That was not my heading(LOL) Conley Sr. is a lot closer to the big guy then the dad is at least that is the talk I have heard.
April 17, 200719 yr Author I edited the heading, we don't want to mislead even if it was funny... :thumb:
April 18, 200719 yr Why not go? 1) Come back and win a national championship wiht Conley and Cook. If they come back next year, no way do they not win it all. ODen wants a college national championship to go with a high school and hopefully future pro championship. 2) He has stated he doesn't want to make the jump if he doesn't think he can come in right away and dominate and lead his team to a potential championship. 3) He could enter the draft and pull his name out making him a free agent and he could just do what Morris did this year and sign after his college season is over. This way he could go to a potential contender.
April 18, 200719 yr 3) He could enter the draft and pull his name out making him a free agent and he could just do what Morris did this year and sign after his college season is over. This way he could go to a potential contender. Not exactly... It worked that way with Morris because he stayed in the draft, but went undrafted... So he didn't lose any eligibility. If Oden does the same thing, he would most definitely be drafted... And if he pulls his name out, he still would have to go through the process again next year. You can pull your name out once, but if you declare twice you have to stay in. One of the bad things about being one of the best players in the country is that you're going to get drafted by a bad team.
