U15, FRESHMEN. Played at South Laurel tournament this weekend 2nd place.

Kentucky Hoopstars participated in "The Battle in the Boro" tournament this past weekend in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Thier Junior-to-be(16U) and thier Sophomore-to-be(15U) both won the tournament. The sophmore team beat SE Elite in the championship while the junior team beat Arkansas Wings. That is the second tournament the sophomore team has won.

Two weeks ago the Adidas Ohio Basketball Club Patriots 15U made it to the final four of the Pittsburgh Jam Fest, beating the Ft. Wayne Flames, Boo Williams and Pittsburgh Storm in pool play. Eventually losing in the Gold Bracket final four to New Heights, NY (last years 14U AAU national champion).

 

Last weekend the OBC Patriots finished 2nd out of 63 teams in the King James Tournament in Akron, OH. They beat Mc Irvine Fire (IL), Team Melo (MD) in pool play then in bracket play they beat the Queen City Prophets (Cin, OH), All Ohio Red (OH), Ferrari (Ill), CIA Bounce (Toronto, Ontario) and lost to CBIZ (OH) in the championship game.

One of our players also plays for CBIZ, heard it was a very good game, 64-60 I believe?

The 17U Shining Stars are doing very well. Some of their players are being looked at by numerous D-1 schools due to their play in the King James Akron Tournament. They will be in Fort Wayne for the Spiece tourney this weekend.

I just watched the finals of the King James Akron tourney on FoxSports net between Georgia All stars and D-1 Greyhounds featuring Darius Miller. Georgia pulled it out in the end winning by 4 or 5. Buford for D-1 Ghnds looked good, Matta is getting a good 2 guard there. Miller looked good from perimeter in 1st half and did a lot of battling on the boards in the 2nd half. Nobody really impressed me from 3 pt range for D1. The two 6'11 kids for Georgia were very impressive as far as skills.

What is the rest of their schedule for the summer? Can anyone post it?

Scott Co. guys are invoved everywhere no wonder they are a state powerhouse.

What's their total male enrollment? That often plays a significant factor. More boys to draw from in growing/large areas. I think lots of high school teams have players playing AAU in many places and times.
