stick1 Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Beltran, Wright, Reyes, Delgado, Floyd etc they have one of the better lineups in baseball! I think what is going to kill the Mets down the stretch is the health of their pitching staff. I look for them to be maybe the top team in the NL and really have to battle down the stretch because of their pitching.
SvFan4life Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Ok, I didn't get to watch this game last night but It was clear that the Braves need a better 5th starter than Redman. Reyes did very good hitting the ball last night but don't expect the Mets to pound the Braves like this often. Yes they have a good lineup but the Braves pitching is way better than what it showed last night!
RADIO GUY Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Like I said before, ant time the mets can win at Atlanta it is a plus. Redman had times when he looked in control, even when the braves were down only 2-1. When he got bad, he got very bad and the wheels fell off in the 6th and 8th. Smoltz and Glavine today...Should be a better real time test of these two teams. It is not on TBS, but if you have XM radio it is live on there or it is live on MLB TV on your computer if you have it. GO METS

I agree with you on pitching...Always a concern for the METS..They better hope the bats do the work this season. It is early, but the pitching so far as been pretty good..Less than 1.00 ERA...I know it does not mean much this early, but we MET fans look for any sunshine we can fine. BTW did you know the METS have never had a pitcher throw a no-hitter and have never had a NL-MVP?
RockPride Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 The Mets have gone 4-0 with the score differential of 31-3. If they win tonight, they will be 5-0 for the first time since 1985, and that would tie a franchise record.

Floyd is with the Cubs this year...I think the Cubs, but nevertheless he is not with the METS
newarkcatholicfan Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 It's always a good day when the Braves fall.
RockPride Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Floyd is with the Cubs this year...I think the Cubs, but nevertheless he is not with the METS Correct...it is Alou this season.
DragonFire Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Ouuuuuuuuuch. On the plus side, the Braves are two outs from rebounding today.
RADIO GUY Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 METS fall 5-3...Smoltz gets the win..Glavine the loss...METS have 13 LOB including 2 in the top of the 9th in scoring position.
stick1 Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Floyd is with the Cubs this year...I think the Cubs, but nevertheless he is not with the METS You are right. I saw him playing with them the other night. I guess I had him on my mind because I was thinking about how he always plays well then gets hurt. Marlins, Mets etc! While we are on the Mets, they have some guys that can run too! Reyes, Beltran, Wright's not bad etc.
RockPride Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Mets are still rollin'....if they win 4/5 for the rest of the season..they will sleep to the playoffs.
