Track the Mets

Can't remember who did it, but the bunt single with 2 men on and no out in the 12th was the biggest hit IMO. You're almost guaranteed to get a run with that situation, and it made it easier to get that winning RBI. Congrats on the win!

Mets win another close one today, 1-0 over the Nationals. They only had three hits, but that was all they needed as Beltran's solo homer held up. They're currently tied with the Braves pending this afternoon's outcome.

I think Easley had doubled, then Castro walked so you had 2 on and no outs. Reyes bunted and bases were loaded with no outs. LoDuca forced Easley out, but then Beltran and Wright came up with the big hits then.

Another good day for Franco (imo really 53 years old ) at 1st from a defensive standpoint forcing Kerans out at 3rd with a great throw. Maine gets win number 4 allowing 3 hits and getting 8 s/o's in 7 innings

Mets lose tonight to the Marlins who dominated most of the game. Mets fought back but couldn't pull ahead at home, and they end up losing the game 9-6 to fall .5 games behind the Braves for 1st place.

METS lose to marlins again 5-2 but still keep pace with the braves after they were beat by the phils. Pelfrey did look a little better tonight than his previous games. On the bright side Wright went 3-4 and maybe breaking out of a slump he has been in.

METS defeat marlins 6-3 after some strong pitching by Perez. Season high 10 SOuts allowing 3 runs on 3 hits. Perez also providing some offense going 2 for 2 and scoring 2 runs. Wright also 2 -5 and Green 2-4. METS travel out West to face the dback's. On a side note: Reyes NL Player of the Month and Maine NL Pitcher of the Month.

METS defeat dbacks 9-4 after trailing 4-3 going into the 9th. Two 3 run blast by Easley and Wright give the METS the 10th win in a row against the dbacks in Arizona. METS move into a tie with the braves for 1st in the NL East. Maine goes against the big unit tonight.

METS continue to dominate the dbacks winning 2 more behind agless wonder Franco HR and Greens 2 run homer also. Maine looked sharp again in the 2nd win of the series and Sosa called up from AAA gets the win over Webb. METS back in 1st after last nights loss by braves against the dodgers.

METS loss 3-1 to dbacks on Sunday. Pelfrey still pitched just O.K., but still had some control issues. He walked 4 and hit a couple of batters in less than 6 innings. Pelfrey needs to get a win to up his confidence as it is to the point of trying too hard and not relaxing a bit. His wins will come as Randolph is taking his time with him and not pushing the panic button on him. It seems if he gets down early in a game he locks up a bit. METS go to giants tied with the braves for 1st in NL East.

On Monday night 05/07 the METS really stunk against the giants. A couple of errors and the the flood gates opened as the giants batted around and Molina (same name different trouble for the METS) hit 2 homers in the inning that started the downfall. Well tonight 05/08 the METS are winning at the giants and they need a win to keep pace with those braves who also won tonight.

METS win 4-1. Glavine gets win 294 and bonds does goes deep for the only giants run...METS and braves again tied for 1st in NL East.

^ After several days of trading first place back and forth, it seems they're attached at the hip now doesn't it?

This is true, the remaining games between them are going to play a big factor down the road. I think both teams need to quit looking over their shoulders (whenever it is their turn) and take care of business at hand.

METS beat giants today 5-3 ending a 7 game ( 5 wins ) road trip. Wright hits a double with bases loaded in the 9th for the win. Wagner picks up his 8th save of the year. Heilman gets the win, while Maine figured in a no decison, pitching 6 innings 5 hit 3 run game. His ERA still at 1.79. METS start 10 game homestand starting with the brewers ( best record in baseball ) before another long road trip. I think every MET beside the pitcher(s) and Green got a hit today, but still left too many on base.
