METS get out of a tough top of the 7th as cards strand bases loaded and get nothing out of it.:thumb:

Very impressed with Maroth (sp) for the cards pitching. He has got a wicked throw to 1st.

Shawn Green walk off homer in the 11th wins it for the METS. Only 3rd hit for the METS and 1st hit since the 3rd inning for the METS also. Glad to see Green back.

Big win...and a bigger hit for the man with the largest ears in Mets' history.

Well it is the break and all I can say about the METS is they are in 1st plaace only because of a good May. June and so far July have not been kind to the METS as pitching has been a problem and really the bats have been a little less then good. It is going to tighten up in the second half. The METS need some good hitting when facing right handed pitchers and the starting pitchers need to get at least 6 innings of work as not too many pitchers from the METS are lasting past the 4th inning. If I had to choose my pitching MVP for the METS right now it would be Maine and everyday player would be Reyes. Fasten your seat belts for the 2nd half.

Hey you got the Reds coming in for 4. You should feel better after that:lol:

The Mets need to get healthy...quick.

Big win for the METS on the road against the Padres. El D did it all for the METS last night and Lastings is showing some spark with the bat. I kinda miss Franco, but there was just no place for him anymore and baseball is business.

^ Why would you miss him, he was horrible this year?

Lot of young players on that team, he brought a quite mature leadership to the bench/clubhouse. Granted production was not good, but sometimes intangibles speak loud and can only be appreciated after the fact.

And now the Braves have him....

It's dumb!

METS go down 8-6 to the dodgers after leading 4-0 early on. These guys are killing me.

Franco is like Methuselah. For sentimental value though, I'm glad he's back in Atlanta.
