Lincecum pitched pretty well for SF....I think that kid is going to be real special.

Yeah and he is only around 23. Some great defense by both teams in this game also.

Had a perfect game through 3 and 2/3... Walked Beltran to lose that, and then gave up a homer to Delgado to lose the no-no.

Kinda of curious to what was wrong with Joe Smith. He did not look the same tonight in the short relief...Seemed a little wild

METS lose tonight 3-0. First time all season they were shut out ( I think ). Glavine pitched o.k., but offense was not there tonight.

METS defeat giants 4-2 taking 2-3 from them in this series. METS finish 19-9 for the month of May. They have won every series except with the braves and one series with the marlins this season. They did tie a rain short series with the nats and redeemed themselves against the marlins on the last series. METS host the hot arizona dbacks starting 06/01. Beltran went out with injury after a collision at 1st. He joins Green and Alou. Gomez replaced him and while a excellent outfielder, he lacks the bat of Beltran.

It was legit. I don't know how a veteran guy like him does that not only once but twice in an inning.

Giants went and traded him after his balks to. Traded him to the marlins.

METS bouce back today after suffering a 5-1 loss Friday night. Friday night METS playing with only 3 starters from the opening day had no real offense against Kentucky's own Webb. METS, today get dingers from Delgado and Gotay ( 3rd second baseman this season) and Sosa pitching 6 good innings allowing 5 hits was enough to do in the dbacks who have a much better team lately than the showed earlier in the year.

Talkin about a bad homestand for the METS as they lose 6 out of the 9 games they played at home. A good May, has been negated by a rough start to June as the dbacks and the phils take care of business at Shea. METS added to the injury list as Chavez goes down. Too many runners left on base in scoring position with 2 outs along with some excellent clutch hitting by both the phils and dbacks. It gets no easier as the METS on the road for 9 now (tigers, dodgers and those yanks). The METS have been able to substain the lead in the NL East as the braves has had about the same bad luck.

I am sick about what is going on right now.....2-8 in the last 10....lots and lots of work to do...the outfield has to get healthy eventually.

The METS are playing uninspired ball right know. June has been, for the most part, a every season nightmare. It was good to see Green back in the line-up and Alou is due back soon. Too many left on base and some very untimley pitching mistakes by the starters and the bullpen have contributed to the downfall. The phils are playing really good right now and you know the braves are going to get it together also. METS need to find a way to win tonight and the dodgers are throwing penny so Sosa will have to play smart. On the postive side Wright has a good hitting month of June going. They need to finish this road trip and get back to NY. They have the yanks away and nothing will restore some confidence like taking caring of those guys.

Mets beat the Rocket tonight in the Bronx....all is right tonight.

The Mets are playing well below average right now...it s not good in Flushing Meadows...

I would really like to see Glavine get 300 this year, but has been giving up the big hits of late. ESPN tonight METS and yanks. If the braves would have played .500 ball the last 3 weeks they would be leading this division now. Its like no one really wants to be in 1st at the all star break.

Hey are you all really Mets fans, or are you just sick of the Reds?
