METS fall 3-2 in a good game. METS have 31 LOB in this series. Heilman blows the game. He continues to mystify me. When he is on, he is only fair, but when he is bad, it is at the worst time. A long season ahead of the METS if continue to leave that many people on base. 1st time the METS have not been in 1st place in over a year.

Mets are overrated and the Braves are back. This was a great message by the Braves taking the home series opener from the Mets. Good pitching from both teams and once again great clutch hitting by the Braves late in the game.

Poor RP...The BRaves are not a "has been". For crying out loud last year was the FIRST time they HADNT won the division since 91! How is that a has been??? The Mets are well....still the mets...

I think if I was into baseball at all, the Mets would be the team I got behind. But I have yet to get into baseball.

Come on RP show some love. The Mets have not proven anything yet. They could have been a fluke last year. Yes it's early on and still a lot more baseball but the Braves aren't just getting "lucky breaks" it's just clutch hitting.

I'm not a Mets fan but since this is a Mets thread I have to ask a question. What the heck was Randolph thinking pitching to Ryan Howard with a 3-2 lead, 2 outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd? Continued managing like that and it won't matter what kind of players the Mets have. That call was just mind boggling.

You crack me up calling the Braves a "lesser" team. The Phillies and Nationals are by far the 2 worse teams in the NL East and the Braves are very strong. The Mets are too but they have a weak rotation but we'll see how it pans out soon enough.

Reyes, Wright, Alou big hits in a needed win. Rollins burned Glavine a couple of times, but did get the win...Mets not having as many LOB as earlier in the season. GO METS

METS finally get to play and defeat Philly in one of a three game series. Tow rain-outs did not have much effect on the METS as Alou goes deep twice in this one. Franco come up big the other night for a pinch hit to win at Washington. Two very old vets coming up when they need to for the METS....

METS win again...9-2 over the Marlins. They thrashed Willis who gave up 10 hits and 8 runs in 5 innings. Reyes was 4-6 and Beltran had 3 rbi's..Also Wright extends his hitting streak to 25 games...a team record. as well as a career record for him. John Maine pitched great...A no hitter till the 7th...His 2nd game this season where he had a no hitter late in the game. He may get one this year which would be the 1st no hitter in the METS history...:thumb:

Mets are clicking right now and it's bad for the Braves because they can't push their NL East lead out a little bit but I think the East will come down to a 2 team race by the all-star game, Mets will fail though!

Mets will win this division by 7 games over Atlanta. Braves might get the Wild Card though.
