Is the rest of the SEC nervous?

Featured Replies

I don't think he'll scare everyone either, but I KNOW nobody was scared of Tubby.

100% TRUE.

This thread is out of its mind.

Gillispie has orchastrated some good turnarounds, and I think he's a good selection. But his record isn't frightening anyone.

School.....Year.....Record......Conference......Postseason

UTEP.......02-03......6-24.........3-15...........None

UTEP.......03-04......24-8.........13-5...........NCAA 1st Round

A&M........04-05......21-10........8-8............NIT Quarterfinals

A&M........05-06......22-9........10-6............NCAA 2nd Round

A&M........06-07......27-7........13-3............NCAA Sweet 16

How many conference titles, regular season or tournament? 1 regular season title, in the WAC. No tournament titles. One Sweet 16.

Don't get me wrong. I think the guy has potential. UK got a good one. But no one in the SEC is hiding under the covers.

They're probably still celebrating that UK fans ran off the guy with a history of dominating the conference.

I don't want to come out, Billy G is out there...:scared:

I think he can lead Uk back to the top when any team was nervous to play them.

but are they nervous right now, of what? Uk isn't very threatening on paper.

Well yesterday I would have argued that! However no need to argue anymore on things with Tubby because he is gone, and we have a new coach...

So lets go Bluegrass Billy!!!:thumb:

This thread is crazy.

Why? I'm not asking are they nervous we will run the table in the SEC next season. I'm saying are they nervous that we have a coach to take us back to the top?

He hasn't done anything yet. Why would anybody be nervous?

The other guys may not be nervous about next season, but I would say that the other coaches, as OCD as they are, went into text message hyper-speed to their recruits for '07 and '08 when this new shark hit the waters, especially as opposed to the less than threatening Hanson and Rigot.

I also don't think anyone is scared. However, to fully see what Billy G has done, you have to look are where those teams were before he took over. Awful, is an understatement.

But if a coach of another SEC team is 'scared' of a new coach at UK, ... maybe it is time for them to move on.
