April 18, 200719 yr Author And there's one run instead of two. Again you ASSUME Dunn is going to get the bunt down. I see about a 5% chance of that in that situation...
April 18, 200719 yr 1st and 2nd, 0 outs, you need 1 run to tie and a lefty on deck that can be prone to a double play, yes. I don't care who's up, you've got to move the runners over. You don't get these runs in, you're left with the bottom of the lineup for the last two innings. You don't bunt your big hammers. How many times do you think Bench, Foster, Perez were asked to lay one down in that situation.
April 18, 200719 yr So you really think Dunn is going to get down a bunt against Shouse? Come on... I don't buy the 'can't bunt certain pitchers, or pitches' theory.
April 18, 200719 yr Brantley is smart!!! Like GT said I like these guys on the TV broadcast a lot.
April 18, 200719 yr Author I don't buy the 'can't bunt certain pitchers, or pitches' theory. Good for you. If you think Dunn could get a bunt down against that guy with more than 50% certainty please seek medical attention...
April 18, 200719 yr YES!!!!!!! Thats why we need a catcher that can hit. Who said we needed to bunt!!
April 18, 200719 yr So glad the Brewers are terrible defensively. Especially Hall. There seems to be no place they can hide him.
April 18, 200719 yr Thom needs to learn there is a fine line between being his own man and being too negative/repetitive.

April 18, 200719 yr I hope this is the game that gets Phillips going. We really need his bat. I wish he would have gotten thrown out at 3rd for walking to 1st base like that.
