Track The Reds...

Reds just released this news: Eric Milton is scheduled to have Tommy John surgery Friday and is done for the season. At the end of the year, his contract will expire, so we might have seen the last of him in a Reds uniform.

In other news, Bill Bray has been recalled from his rehab assignment because of left shoulder inflammation.

And if I were the Padres I would be dangline Clay Hensley too. Here are his very impressive stats for this year.

28 1/3 IP, 42 Hits, 24 ER, 16 BB, 14 SO's. That's good enough for a 1-3 record, and a 7.62 ERA.

If WK pulls the trigger on that he should be fired immediately. Are the Padres the only team that wants Dunn everytime something comes up it involves them, I think we need to look else where.

And I had hopes of seeing him pitch in person sometime in July. :D :D

So unless the savior just pitches goodness awful, he will have a slot in the rotation the rest of the year. Good news.

Milton needs to have the surgery, take the money and retire.

That means he has pitched at least four innings without giving up a run. That's what the Reds are looking for!

No secret, I've not been a Milton fan but no way, do I want to see his career possibly end this way. Recovery from TJ, is not easy but many have made it all the way back.

For the record, I hope Milton can return and leave, on his terms with another team.

So that leaves a spot open on the roster now right? Does Livingston come back up now?

No, Milton has been on the DL.

Milton will probably recover 100%, leave the Reds and go on to have some kind of absurd, Cy Young caliber year. With our luck it would be with an NL Central team too.

True, goodness knows the Cubs wouldn't mind overspending on a so called washed up pitcher. Course Milton wouldn't have a career year with them, MAYBE with the Cardinals.

IMO when Dunn is traded, we're not going to be happy with what we receive in return.

If only it were that easy...

I'm sure you're right, but it sure as heck better be more than Clay Hensley, or the like.

I must admit. If you said "which of the following is the occupation of one Clay Hensley? a)carpenter b)ballplayer or c)Congressman from Alabama, I'd have no clue.
