42 point win in the final??? Did any in state teams even give them a game this season?

 

Acutally, South Charleston played them tough earlier in the season. The final score ended up being about 19pts but I do believe is was a good game until late.

This is a ridiculous score for a state title game. I wonder how they'd do playing against Ballard?? That would be an interesting match up

Had tough time with Scott County, lost once and won once. I don't think HHS would have won the state tournament in Kentucky this year. Team chemistry not what it could be and Patterson was not used properly this year, it was all about OJ this year and that is why they lost the first game with Scott County and why they won the second game against Scott without OJ. Mayo average over a shot a minute in the first contest with Scott and Patterson hardly touched the ball unless it was on a rebound.

And OJ did play in the first game and HHS was defeated.

I watched every game in the tournament and he wont ride the pine lol. And it was for hanging on the rim they called it, the ref was onto him all game, they didnt like him. But this team did put on a show, and the way they played int he tourney no KY team could have beat them. Patterson was the leading scorer the first game. WV tournament is awesome, I have been to Kentucky and WV and WV is so fun, you would be suprised, I seen alot of Kentucky folks at the games.

By the way Triple A in WV is awful this year, but they did play a team in Bridgeport in second round that could ball. Actualy they reminded me of a Scott team not quiet as good maybe but they had one kid that could flat out play ball.

To say it BLUNTLY, Mayo put on a show in this final game. Also looks as though the USC signee may be headed to a very good team, who just beat Texas in the second round of the NCAA tourney!
