I agree. But when one kid gets a call that no other player on the floor gets it is a bit unusual. Both teams played well. Corbin had their chances and could not convert on their FT's....South about choked in the end. Did they have 6 guys on the floor for the last play? Some people said they did......maybe they were meaning 8? lol

To be honest, I believe they ahd 9 players on the court lol. I know what you're saying though, Bubba. And, I do agree with you.

 

 

Hat's off to both Coach P and Coach Wright for having turning in solid seasons as coaches.

I have watched Corbin play a bunch the previous two years. I have only watched a hand full of games this season. I was very impressed with their play. Coach Pietrowski and his staff have done an excellent job. Corbin should keep their heads up, they have a very bright future.

 

I am only showing up to post some interesting information. South had six players on the floor at the end of regulation.

 

There were some players from another school sitting by me who said the same thing about South having 6 players on the floor............I did not see it, but it seemed like there were at least 4 on Crawford when he tried to take the last shot.

Wow, what could be done if they did indeed have too many players on the court? I bet the KHSAA would love to have a copy of that film to use as an officating education tape. If they did indeed have too many players..I did notice Hammonds running away from Crawford on the last shot.

Two FT's and the ball back in half court could have made things interesting...tisk tisk....guess we will never know now. I would like to see the tape on it though

Tony P. has stepped up this year and did a great job. Is it my imagination or has he improved every year since he added Brent West to his staff much like Coach Hicks did when he added Willard? The Hounds should be the favorite next year.

Would they have been assessed a technical if the referees would have caught it? Who's responsibility is it to check the number of players on the court for each team?

I thought Corbin did a great job of handling South's presssure. The hounds only had six turnovers.

I assume one of the three officals who called this game......it would not be the first thing they missed. I for one would rather see the 13th call the region tourney as opposed to the ones we had this year. Unless we can get the 12th, I say stay in house.
