What was Corbin's gameplan?

Well, free throws killed them again ... Missed some front ends of one and ones and hit only 6-of-14 from the free throw line.

As for Strategy ... they played some halfcourt offense, but really attacked the basket in the fourth quarter.

Corbin gave a great effort, just came up short.

Hammonds only played 4:25 in the first half because of getting two fouls called on him in the first quarter.

Crawford scored 17 points in the win, while Josh Smith and Madison Johnson each scored 11.

Both fouls were obvious calls. Corbin couldn't afford to sit their players with 2 fouls in the first half, but Wright had that luxury.

What about defense?

Yeah, I agree. Jordan was playing way too agressive.

South was just a bit deeper, but I thought Matt St. John played well. He only scored five points, but altered some shots and played good defense.

Me too and yes Les in the near-future you know like after the Final Four the analysts predict the top teams.

South Laurel is a very good high school team with three really big strong kids in Hammonds, Profitt and Smith. Their role players are big and strong as well. I think they are really good on defense when Hamm and Bortnem come into the game. Corbin played hard all night and battled against the odds. I look forward to following the Hounds progress over the next couple of years. Great Coaching job by Coach P. This time things just did not work out. Hopefully South will play well next week and make a run in the Sweet 16. I will not comment on the officating, but will say people saw what they saw and nothing more needs to be said.
