March 12, 200719 yr I can't believe Syracuse didn't get in. Kansas State was also a little bit of a suprise. They interviewed Boeheim on ESPN after he found out and he didn't sound very happy, and I can understand. They should be in over Stanford or Arkansas...
March 12, 200719 yr Syracuse,Drexel and FSU should have got in before Xavier. Anyone that loses to UC should not be in the field, period.

No doubt.
March 12, 200719 yr Syracuse got hosed. No Question. K. State probably should had been in but I did like the comment that I just heard Huggins make on the espn show. "If we would had won more game then we wouldn't be talking about this." I can't stand Huggins but I liked this statement out of him. That statement would be my advice to all that are complaining. I don't know about any team inparticular but jmo the Big 10 getting 6 in is a joke. I personally only expected 4 from the big 10. I don't think that they were that good of a conference overall, drop a big 10 team and put Syrscuse in should had been one move imo.
March 12, 200719 yr Syracuse, KState, Drexel..... Drexel and Syracuse got jobbed....Absolutely unexcusable.... Drexel! I just discovered your identity, are you Dick Vitale?? (I happen to agree that Drexel probably should have been in but not as strong of case as Cuse' and K. State.)
March 12, 200719 yr Author Drexel! I just discovered your identity, are you Dick Vitale?? (I happen to agree that Drexel probably should have been in but not as strong of case as Cuse' and K. State.) Cuse, and KState both benefited from an uneven conference schedule. Drexel did everything they were asked to do. They played a very tough OOC schedule, they played these games on the road, they beat the likes of Cuse, Creighton, and Nova on the road. They had something like 14 road wins this year, that is unbelievable. What ended up doing them in was losing twice to Old Dominion.

BTW, anyone else shocked to hear how harsh everyone was being on X getting in??? Hssb.....I am a man of my word.
March 12, 200719 yr Illinois should not have been in.... I agree 100% with this, forgot to list them on my post of ones that did not deserve it. :thumb: I also thought that Fla. State possibly should have made it.
March 12, 200719 yr Huggs said, "How can we not be in?" on Thursday. Guess he is shocked.Huggins said that for more than one reason. He can definitely use it next year for motivation. Something tells me he got what he expected.
March 12, 200719 yr IF I was the selection committee... OUT: Arkansas Stanford Illinois IN: Drexel Syracuse KState
March 12, 200719 yr I don't get what the big deal about KState is. I think they were rightfully left out.
March 12, 200719 yr I don't get what the big deal about KState is. I think they were rightfully left out. based on? I can make a case that Syracuse was rightfully left out... they are both more deserving that Stanford(18 wins?) and Arkansas...
March 12, 200719 yr based on? I can make a case that Syracuse was rightfully left out... they are both more deserving that Stanford(18 wins?) and Arkansas... And Illinois. At least it's major level teams this year...
March 12, 200719 yr based on? I can make a case that Syracuse was rightfully left out... RPI 58 is borderline Played a pretty pitiful OOC schedule (best win coming against USC) One solid win against Texas That's about all I'm seeing.
March 12, 200719 yr I don't see how Stanford got in over some of those teams at only 18-12 with losses in 6 out of their last 9 games. They did not belong in the field. The only thing I'll say about Stanford is that their record is VERY decieving. Despite that, I 100% agree with you that someone else like Drexel or Syracuse should have gotten in over Stanford. On a side note, EKU at #16? EKU got robbed and now its taken away any chance of them of getting into the second round
