March 12, 200719 yr I am glad Xavior got in the tourney but I thought Kansas State should have been in. I think they were 4th in the big 12 standings. I would think that would be good enough. I guess Arkansas run in the sec tournement change that.
March 12, 200719 yr RPI 58 is borderline Played a pretty pitiful OOC schedule (best win coming against USC) One solid win against Texas That's about all I'm seeing. Syracuse does not belong in the tourney. OOC was not good. Lost to the only 3 decent OOC teams they faced. Nothing on their resume gets your attention. I'd take Arkansas before I'd take them and Arkansas is a stretch.

Looking over 4th place in the Big 12, winners of 11 of last 16, beat 10 seed and 5th in Big 12 Texas Tech by 20 3 days ago, played #4 overall seed close for 40 minutes 2 days ago. March 12, 200719 yr No doubt messages were sent to clean up the charmin OOC schedules. I'd say mission should be accomplished...
March 12, 200719 yr I can't believe Syracuse didn't get in. Kansas State was also a little bit of a suprise. They interviewed Boeheim on ESPN after he found out and he didn't sound very happy, and I can understand. They should be in over Stanford or Arkansas... I agree. Syracuse without question did more to get in than Arkansas or Stanford.

Can you imagine what would happen if the NCAA mandated Major conferences must play one road game a year at a midmajor? As far as OOC goes, I think Drexel did what they were supposed to do and weren't rewarded for it.

March 12, 200719 yr #5 in the BEast and #4 in the Big 12 are out. Expansion is on the way... Syracuse beat Georgetown badly the other day. They are the only team to beat the Hoyas in the last 16 games. That win should've put them in, IMO.
March 12, 200719 yr #5 in the BEast and #4 in the Big 12 are out. Expansion is on the way... I would be for having 4 play in games. Lets face it there are probably 4 conferences whose champs have no right being in the tourny anyway. At least this way teams could battle for the right to get smashed by a #1.
