Parking for The State Tournament?

Featured Replies

Are there better places to park and get out of quickly than the Rupp parking lot?

I would image it would depend on what day and time. Weekends and evenings easy, weekdays early afternoon tough.....

I always try to park on 2nd Street. Not a long walk, easy to get out of downtown, and most importantly....FREE!!!

I want direction to this place.:thumb:

well if you are willing to pay $12 the best place to park is at Central bank because you are right at the light and you get out quickly.

Behind Rupp where the busses park is not a bad spot. It's a little bit of a hill to walk up, but not too bad. Easy to get out because of the light that if you go straight across is Newtown Pike.

I agree with Yoda, behind Rupp usually is a pretty good spot.

With a pass, this a great spot. Without it, getting out of the lot can take awhile, but once you're out you can easily hit Newtown and you're home free.

Decent free parking could be a little tougher this year with it not being during UK's spring break like it usually is. I can usually find a spot around Calvary church, but there wont be any guarantees this year.

What are the parking rates for the lot across from Rupp and the lot where the buses park? My brother and I were thinking of just taking a taxi from the Springs Inn to the games instead of worrying about parking, and it might even be cheaper in the long run.

I think it was $7 in front of Rupp, that is the best lot to get out quick back to the springs.
