I contribute Russells defeat to a long arm in their face all night. As to bad luck Ferguson has had the flu all week according to a friend of the family, so there was adversity on both teams. Don't try to use that as an excuse. Yes Elliott did out hustle Russell they ran them into the hardwood. hooter, I want to be the first to defend fball here. IMO he never once wanted to take anything away from Elliott's win today. He clearly stated that Elliott outplayed and outhustled Russell today. Elliott has the best team playing at the right time now and Russell just ran out of gas & luck. My top three from the 16th, were playing today in the semi's and IMO Elliott will win Monday night. After Elliott wins Monday and is in Rupp, they would have defeated the hardest road to Rupp; Boyd, Russell, and Ashland. (and if Ashland wins they would take the easiest path; Lewis, East, Elliott (only credible team)).

Does anyone have the shooting percentages for the game? RA09 your were correct on your assesment of Ferguson from EC; great defensive game on Gill. Gill only scores 4 points!! WOW!! Very good defensive for someon who is know for his offensive capabilities.

No, but this is the second year in a row they have been in the finals. Hopefully this is their year.

They will be playing Shelby Valley.

I noticed at one point in the game, the Russell student section was chanting something when Elliott was shooting a free throw. It appeared as if Russell's coach shouted something very angrily at the student section. Did anyone else notice this? Anyone know what that was about?

 

Also, Russell's student section was pretty rude in interrupting Elliott's cheerleaders one time.

I did notice them interrupting the cheerleaders. But the Ashland section was very rude to the East Carter players. But I guess that goes with the tourney. Chant all you want , but don't get nasty about it.
