I agree with b-ball-fan. Heck i'm going to see if the next time we're winning we can reward the ballboys and mascots for working hard all year! They deserve a moment in the spotlight--maybe they can play the last 1 or 2 minutes, whats it going to hurt?

 

If the ballboys and mascot are on the roster of eligibility, then by all means go ahead. We once had a JV game that we had to play a manager (he was on our roster of eligibility) when we had half of our freshmen hurt in the game before. He was the sub. :thumb:

I myself dont think that this is such a big deal. However the KHSAA does set the rules and everyone is supposed to play by them. IF the schools envoleved make a big deal about this then there will be a investigation and I can see them taking the championship away.

 

There is no possibility of them taking the championship away for this. This is a minor violation, or the 16th kid wouldn't have been able to go in at all. All it amounts to is an indirect technical foul on the bench, the other team gets to shoot two free throws and then get the ball out of bounds. IT IS OVER! THERE IS NO FURTHER ACTION TO BE TAKEN!!!

Come on sticky, strangers at BP's are very good sources. BP could stand for Bluegrass Preppers. They can take the "official" title away but we know the 16th player didn't really contribute much in a 20 point win.

Nothing should come of this. Can't blame the coach for trying to get all his players in. I applaud the fact that he did this and took the technical.

The maximum number of student-athletes allowed to dress and therefore be in the offical book is 15 for KHSAA Post Season games.

Can the KHSAA limit the number of coaches on the bench? If so, there are a few teams that might have to cut back.

I guess I did, my bad. I guess this is a silly thread, but it has caught a lot of peoples attention hasn't it.

This thread regarding an investigation by the KHSAA, is speculation and until something is confirmed, done.
