Congratulations to Coach Pratt for keeping his players in the game. He is a very good man and he deserves the win. The answer to Mr. Wrong's question is, they were outscored.

How were the refs in this game? Someone on the radio said that there were alot of crazy calls. Just curious.

AS ALWAYS in the 16th...there were some pretty ............Bad is not the word........AAAAHHHHHHH...HORRIFFIC......yeah....horriffic calls both ways...I guess you just have to suck it up and play. Why are the refs in the 16th so bad??????????Tonights game was just as bad if not worse than the first meeting????? I am a die hard LION......BUT the call of the RH guy standing out of bounds late in the fourth ???????He was three feet from the line..........too many calls to talk about....Maybe I will write a book.....:thumb: PS.... RICKYP looked very handsome in his clothes tonight...Very neatly pressed again!!!!!!

Euton and Jackson scored 20 each, Fuller had 2 and Malloy 1. Euton had 12 boards and Jackson 9 of RH's 33.

The Lions and Coach Pratt deserve full credit for pulling out a big win. No one gave it to them, they earned it.

Rose Hill's kids deserve credit for putting together a terrific year with some big wins over some very good opponents. They finish 19 and 6 overall, and as a team that started an 8th grader, two freshmen, a sophomore and a junior... they have something to look forward to.

Congratulations all around... :thumb:

Malloy-Arthur-Fuller-Bush- 3pts total...... WOW, If thats correct enough said.:ylsuper:

A very much deserved win for Boyd County. A check of the statistics will show why Rose Hill lost. I can only remember one point scored by anyone other than Euton and Jackson.

Rose Hill had a goodly number of chances in the first half to pull out to a large margin but continually failed to do so. By the middle of the third quarter, even with Rose Hill still ahead, chances were squandered and you could sense the outcome.

As a "wise" poster has said since October, Rose Hill is a year away. However, between now and then, a couple more boys will have to step up. Potential is great. Unfulfilled potential is not.

The referees let the teams bang and play. I would hope that they will do the same on Thursday.

RH will continue to struggle in close games until more of their 7 man rotation feel comfortable in taking an open shot. They have 2 future superstars BUT you allow the oppositions defense to be much tougher when the other 2-3 players are not looking for an open shot or at least look uncomfortable in taking it.

How does a team with the two, not one but two, best players in the region not get out of district.

They are very good young players BUT not good enough YET to totally take over a game. Until then, they have to get more offense (or at least the threat of taking shots) from other positions.

As for Euton "keeping them close" in the first half the Royals never trailed until the 4th quarter. The score was tied at the end of 3 quarters. Congratulations to Boyd and Coach Pratt. Good luck in the championship game and in the region. And for what it's worth, Fuller was out of bounds, it happened right in front of us and he was a foot out of bounds. Good call! Billman got it right.

They would be all set if they were playing doubles tennis. Unfortunately, basketball requires 5 players on the court at all times and contributions from several subs.

That's good right there, I don't care who you are! But MSUEagles is right. Two guys score 40 of 43 points. Not going to advance if noone else helps out, some.

I want to address this "Euton shooting them out of the game" nonsense. He went 4 miniutes without a shot in the 3rd quarter. It is my recollection that he took one bad shot the entire second half. Sometimes they don't fall but he was largely responsible for the lead that Rose Hill had for 3 quarters.

The season is over for Rose Hill. Few, if any, expected such a successful record although most would have liked to have seen them play a few more games during the season.

Euton and Jackson established themselves as, although not the two best players in the region at this time (mainly because of maturity and youth), clearly the two kids in the region with the most promising futures in basketball. The next three years of those futures will be spent in high school.

The very young kids (remember the merely young kids play varsity) won a number of championships led by the 7th grade state championship (32-0). That group also handily defeated all of its region neighbors time and time again (for example, the 7th grade team defeated both Ashland's 7th grade team and Ashland's 8th grade team four times each).

The season was positive. The need for hard work on all counts is present and known. The future could be most gratifying. For the future, I seriously doubt Rose Hill would trade places with anyone else in the area. Nevertheless, as I said before, potential is great but unfulfilled potential is not.

Great point Rickyp.....Euton did NOT shoot them out of the game. I really dont remember him taking a shot he could not make. The shotsd just did not fall. If they had fell, the people who are so negative would have nothing to complain about. He is a great athelete. Same thing happened last year to Owens. Boyd rode his shirt tail and he has a bad night and its ALL HIS FAULT.. My question would be this....How many of you complainers would like to have Euton on your team???????? THERE.......

SPINNY....you see everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you should have been an eye doc!!!!!!!!!:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I wonder if Coach Fraley is eating CROW right now. All season he has talked about how he has the BEST 2 players in the region and how great they made his TEAM. I'm sure that worked against him considering the fact that it takes 5 to play the game. Those comments couldn't have helped the other players on the team and IF he had the BEST 2 players in the Region then why didn't they WIN?????? No I am not a fan for either team or a hater of either team like some people on this site. However I just didn't like the comments made by the Coach all year long.
