Boyd County 54 Rose Hill Christian 43

Featured Replies

People who think Fuller was intimidated don't know Michael Fuller. He had an off night. So did Bush, Malloy, and Arthur. I think the lay off hurt the Hill more than anything. Stringer is right, it is just one loss. Unfortunately for the 64th it will be one of just a few over the next several years.

This thread is going to stay on the topic of the game between Boyd County and Rose Hill.

We're not going to travel down that empty road, of verbal sparring.....Take the personal differences to the pm's.

Strike3 is right. Lets keep one open for a change.:D

Agreed. Stinger can give me his "evidence" in a pm and I think the comments by Rickyp in the first paragraph of #70 do echo the feelings of some at Rose Hill. I trust that those feelings are reciprocated.

I agree with the comments about the officiating. I only hope that both Rose Hill and Ashland are granted the same privileges in the game on Thursday night. Shooting 1 for 17 tells it all and I have to agree with some that several of Rose Hill's boys appeared intimidated which came as a disappointing surprise to me.

1-17 is definitely an off night.:thumb: Best of luck during baseball season I heard they just won a hitting league over at K.C. does any basketball players play baseball?

Hey we buy photos too.:D :D If you keep a straddle of that fence your gonna get splinters in your crotch.:D

Great!!!!!!!! I just hate to see someone say some of the things that are being said in here. Dont get em wrong...I love my lions.....even if they were 0-20 they are still in my blood, and still my lions. My point is this ..."LOVE YOUR TEAM......" dont belittle another for one bad game....19-6 is a great season. Just think about what is goingt o happen in the district over the next few years.... The Royals will pack the house!!!!!!:dancingpa

I have said all year that I thought Rose Hill would contend this year in spite of youth and they did contend, compiling a very nice record. With their crop of freshmen and under and Elliott's crop of sophmores and under, the next few years may produce a slight power shift to two of the region's smaller schools. Congrats to Pratt and Boyd for advancing. I can think of no more deserving coach.

couldn't agree more, especially after the whole lambasting he got on here and abroad from last year.

Boyd County should be in good shape next year with Selby, Mayhew, Wilson and a Pigeon Roost Middle School team that went undefeated this year. :D

1 year of maturity for Euton and Jackson will make a world of difference next year. Theres a big difference between the age of 15 and 16 in my opinion.I hope a couple of the other boys on the team can contribute a little more next year because if Rose Hill can develop one or two more solid role players then we will all have a chance to see something special for the next three years.

I said earlier in the year that Boyd would likely struggle this year but at the end of the season they would be a more complete team. I love my lions, but I can honestly say that I in no way expected them to reach region. This years team has been a great surprise to all of us. No superstars on the team, well some may consider Selby one ( He certianly doesnt look like a star basketball player, hope I get the chance to see him in some football pads next year ) but they find a way to win.

I'm very happy for Coach Pratt. I'm sure we averaged more points last year and probably had a better record by this point in the season but Boyd is heading to Morehead again after too long of a drought and thats all that matters. It couldnt have happened to a better person on and off the court.

BOBBYEARL...you scare me.......and who is coaching this pigeon roost middle school team........Joe B Hall????????????LOL

From what I understand his son once fired a shot heard round the REGION! :thumb:

I want to address this "Euton shooting them out of the game" nonsense. He went 4 miniutes without a shot in the 3rd quarter. It is my recollection that he took one bad shot the entire second half. Sometimes they don't fall but he was largely responsible for the lead that Rose Hill had for 3 quarters.

I never said he didn't take good shots, some deep threes just didn't fall. I would have let Jackson keep slashing and penetrating. Boyd couldn't guard him.

No kick on Euton, he plays very hard and very well, skies the limit, and he'll be an even bigger force in the region the next few years than he was already was. :thumb: He has a great attitude on the court that you can't help but like.

Last years team finished (15-11) this years team is currently (15-12). As has been said on here many times no one is more deserving than Coach Pratt. His players would run thru a burning building for him, what greater compliment could a coach have than to know his players care that much for him?
