I wonder if Coach Fraley is eating CROW right now. All season he has talked about how he has the BEST 2 players in the region and how great they made his TEAM.

I'll bite first here... Euton and Jackson are the difference between 19-6 and maybe 6-19 with the schedule RH had this season. Their contribution to this team cannot be understated.

I'm sure that worked against him considering the fact that it takes 5 to play the game. Those comments couldn't have helped the other players on the team.
Coach Fraley's comments about Euton and Jackson had about as much adverse effect on the other players as it would for him to walk into the gym on a sunny day and say, "Man, the sky is really blue out there." Every kid on the team knows the impact of Euton and Jackson. They also see them in the gym working as hard or harder than anybody else on the team. It's not like this just fell in their laps.

IF he had the BEST 2 players in the Region then why didn't they WIN??????
You already answered this one. It takes five, and last night with three points scored by guys not named Euton or Jackson, it hurt.

No I am not a fan for either team or a hater of either team like some people on this site. However I just didn't like the comments made by the Coach all year long.
What should a coach say about the two most talented, hardest working players on his own team?

I don't think Tim Fraley is seeking a career in politics after he retires from coaching.

No one wanted to shoot the ball except for those 2. The rest looked scared and intimidated.

Yeah, my point exactly. Its hard to win a game against a good team without a contribution from the rest of the players.

Boyd Co. learned that lesson exactly 365 days ago on the same floor. Most of the time the best lessons learned in life come with a steep price.

Uh oh here comes the Winslow Road Mafia.:scared:

Shoot, Jay, I have no problem whatsoever with the comments of 16th62nd. He/She is entitled to his/her opinion. We all should have learned by now that Rose Hill is the most controversial and disliked school in the region. Although it bothers some, I think it is fine. It is far preferable to be disliked than ignored as Rose Hill was during the many "doormat" years.

It tells me that others are noticing that the "rebirth" of the boys's basketball program is getting close to maturity. There are no Ovintons on Friendship Road but Euton and Jackson will garner sufficient accolades to suffice. I know it bothers some associated with the school but I enjoy all the "renting of clothes and gnashing of teeth" from some of our "good neighbors". For the "renting of clothes", try Normans or ASG. For the "gnashing of teeth", try spindoc. For a good bet for the next few years, try Rose Hill.

      SO TRUE.....I will ask this question again though to ALL the haters out there.....In the world of what ifs.............What if you had Euton and Jackson both on your team. IMO they are two of the top players in the district. REMEMBER they are young....they will both be top players in the region if not the state over the next few years. Keep your head up Royals. I dont want to play you guys over the next thre or four years..........Hands down....the best around over the next few......:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: its been said all year long...."Maybe not this year...BUT...watch out next......"

I agree Scooter, as usual, your comments are direct and truthful. I think Rose Hill is going to have to expand it's talent beyond the "big 2" if they want to enjoy the kind of success the girls had last year.

they are going to have to go deeper than 6 to compete come tournament time. they have 2 great ball players but have they developed and used the rest of the players adequately? You need to have a go to guy but you must have a great support staff to go with them. I think they are young and will bounce back next season. they do not have any seniors, and if they hit the weight room and do well in open gym and summer ball the tide may change next season. but if they do not find people to count on to help with the load and even give jackson and euton a blow every now and then then they will be right back in the same boat next year. They looked like Boyd just wore them down and they were a gear behind in the 2nd half, sub or time out, something to get the legs back. being off for a while don't help either. I look for bright things in the future for coach Fraley and the Royals, but right now it shines on Phil Pratt and Boyd Co. Good win and good luck in regionals, better take it in the finals of district, keep the ball rollin.

Rose Hill's young boys had a good season this year and will be a threat the next three years. They have a lot of talent and will only get better.:fight:

Loosen up guys it is just one loss. Don't let it get to you so much, besides you can now focus your attention on rooting against Ashland and tearing them down like you have all year.

Great point Rickyp.....Euton did NOT shoot them out of the game. I really dont remember him taking a shot he could not make. The shotsd just did not fall. If they had fell, the people who are so negative would have nothing to complain about. He is a great athelete. Same thing happened last year to Owens. Boyd rode his shirt tail and he has a bad night and its ALL HIS FAULT.. My question would be this....How many of you complainers would like to have Euton on your team???????? THERE.......

SPINNY....you see everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you should have been an eye doc!!!!!!!!!:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Agreed, Euton has to take shots for Rose Hill to win. Shot selection is probably the issue here he took 20 shots (12 threes) some were very deep. I think its worth mention Boyd played a man to man defense the entire game no junk defense. Selby guarded Euton 25 feet from the rim all nite long. At 300lbs. he is truely a freak of a athlete. I have watched him play every game this year and when you think you have saw it all he shows you something new. Forcing Euton to shoot deep 3"s because he could not beat him off the dribble is truely amazing for a guy his size.

I have a great deal of respect for the Ashland players and coaches. I wish them the best.

As far as developing players the kids at Rose Hill will get better with age. Guys like Mike Terry, Mike Davis, Nate Quackenbush, Robbie Barber,Tyler Gilbert, and Scott Gambill should be further along physically next season.

I think it deserves mention that at least two of those 12 threes were in desperation. Selby did a great job defending last night. The referees let the players play and that certainly allows Selby to use everyone of those 300lbs.:D Now don't read into that as me complaining about the officials, I thought the game was well called and very consistent. Given the choice it is exactly the kind of game the Rose Hill staff would have wanted called.

It's funny how that nobody has mention that outside of Euton and Jackson the rest of the team was 1-17 from the floor. Those guys usually shoot much better than that. Malloy and Fuller are very good shooters. It was just one of those games.

I agree rickyp, they have size and quickness, if they grow physically and put some meat on Davis, Terry and Quackenbush, those 3 can reaaly make a difference next year.. Robbiie and Gilbert may give them the minutes needed for jackson and Euton to get a little rest and be a force in the 4th quarter and in tournament play.

I think people forget that kids change dramatically between their freshmen and junior years. Most teams don't play a bunch of freshman and half of Rose Hill's roster is freshmen or younger.

How about citing some examples to prove your accusation that Rose Hill posters are guilty of "tearing them down ...all year". I assume that I would be included in your "expose" so you can start with my posts.
