Whitaker at Bell, Pietrowski at Corbin or Edwards at Cumberland would be my early picks. Coach Wright has done another good job as well. I would say Whitaker at Bell will win it this season.

I agree, Whitaker has done a great job! I also think that Phelps has done an excellent job with his team this year!

Whitaker has done a fine job, but he has done it with a pretty experienced team that was expected to be near the top in the region. Pietrowski has had success this year with a very young team that he has brought along very well. Corbin was not projected as a top tier regional threat at season's beginning. I'll vote for Coach P. because of Corbin's growth from summer til now.

I agree for pretty much the same reasons.

1. Pietrowski

2. Whitaker

3. Spurlock

4. Phipps

5. Wright

3. Edwards

5. Phipps

I disagree. Corbin hasn't played a schedule worthy of any awards this season, it's even weaker than Clay's. Corbin is sort of like UK...They haven't beat a worthy apponent. They have won the games they should and lost a few they shouldn't. It's just my opininon, but nothing sticks out from Corbin's season to award Pietrowski COY. South Laurel still has not been defeated by a 13th region team...That's something to hang your hat on as a coach. I have to say Wright or Whitaker.

I think Spurlock has done better than expected at Clay County. I would say either Whitaker or Spurlock.

Whitaker

JD Strange has Pineville ranked 4th in the fear les rankings!

I think that the way the team has improved as the year has went along is a credit to how good of a job he has done.

My vote goes to Whitaker. He has held this team together after taking a big blow around Christmas time.

The real coach from Cumberland Derrick Akal should be COY in the 13th hands down, last year winning only about 5 games to 18 or better with the same kids. "Please, no contest". Plus an all A Regional championship.

My vote would go to Jim Conway of North Laurel ... then Pietrowski ... then Spurlock ... then Anthony Pennington .... then Wright.
