Conway has done an excellent job this season and deserves the coach of the year award. After losing 4 starters from last season no one was picking this team to do a whole lot at the begining of the year but with emergence of shannon and siedel with asher they were going places. Now with asher gone NL is still hanging on with less talent than alot of the teams in the 13th. But if conway had the talent that cumberland has they would be in the drivers seat in the 13th that is why he should be the coach of the year.

I agree to a point. I like Conway and think he will be a good coach for NL if he is allowed and chooses to stick around for a few years. I think NL was playing better than expected before the dismissals and have played pretty well the last 3 games. But to keep their season in prespective NL has beaten only two in-state teams with a winning record, Buckhorn and Cumberland. I don't know about the out of state teams they have beaten.

 

Like I have said before, I like Conway and I hope he sticks around awhile.

I don't care if it is annoying or not .... like I said .... get over it .... if North is so mediocre, then what does that make the teams they have beaten? Didn't the Jaguars beat Cumberland? I thought so.

Why Pietrowski at #2? Cobin's schedule is weak too isn't it? Does Corbin have a signature win this season? I don't see Corbin or Pietrowski as over-achievers this year...Honestly Les...Do you?

Did I say I was upset? I simply disagreed and was wondering why you had him at #2, nothing more. Just returning two starters is a problem lots of teams have year in and year out. I think a team or coach MUST over achieve before the coach can be considered COY. When I look down the Redhound schedule I don't see much over achieving...That's all.

Nobody was expecting much out of North before the transfer and emergence of Seidel as their best player. If everyone had known about this kid last summer ( which they couldn't because he had not transferred yet) and known what kind of player he is expectations for this team would have been much higher, then the fact that they only have a couple good wins would look a little different. Conway is getting way too much air time on here, which is partly my fault and this is my last post on him as a coach of the year candidate. IMO outside of a very limited number of people from the London/corbin area there are not many people that would give him a vote for coach of the year, but like I said before, he has done a pretty good job holding things together and rallying the troops.

If quality wins is a criteria, I think there was only one win against a top 25 team in the 13th region this year. That was South's home win against Madison Central.

To not mention Eddie Whitaker in the mix is absolutely RIDICULOUS. He lost a total stud hoss that just happened to be the most dominant inside presence in the 13th region, (much better player than Asher from North) who happens to be on the University of Auburn Campus as we speek on an athletic scholarship and Bell County is still Arguably the best team in the 13th Region and you have the nerve to not mention him as a top candidate for coach of the year. Give us a break form the foolishness

I would have to agree with Old School about Bell Co, except the part where Bell Co is "arguably" the best team in the 13th region. Until somebody beats SL, they are still the best team. Maybe they wont be in 10 days but they still are for now.
