February 27, 200719 yr As convinced as you are that he is not an upgrade, I'm as convinced that it would be better under him and in that regard I'm not worried. I don't think he's coming anyways though, so it' sa moot point. Obviously neither of us are going to budge, because neither of our arguments have merit. The guy has done nothing in the NCAA for us to be able to judge him on. :thumb:
February 27, 200719 yr How is that an upgrade. People are made we haven't made final fours. Doesn't matter how you start its how you finish. If we dont lose ten games that appears to be an upgrade. That is one of the big complaints I hear.
February 27, 200719 yr If we dont lose ten games that appears to be an upgrade. That is one of the big complaints I hear. And go out in the second round. Whats the difference?
February 27, 200719 yr And he always will be. Teams like that aren't built to win titles. Teams with 3 all stars arent built to win titles?
February 27, 200719 yr Teams with 3 all stars arent built to win titles? You'll see. They will fizzle out like they always do.
February 27, 200719 yr With superior talent that he might be able to recruit, who is to say that it would still be an early exit? If UK gets rid of the ten losses, they get a better seed in the tournament, which gets you past the second round most times. Can you see a team in the tournament playing a game then having a day to turn around and get ready for the UK offense under D'Antoni? Good luck with that. I think in a single elimination tournament like the NCAA is, its a very effective style.
February 27, 200719 yr You'll see. They will fizzle out like they always do. Because the Lakers are in the west?:sssh: Thats a solid comeback too.
February 27, 200719 yr Teams with 3 all stars arent built to win titles? Teams that have trouble defending have problems over a long series in the playoffs. That's not the case in the NCAA...
February 27, 200719 yr Teams that have trouble defending have problems over a long series in the playoffs. That's not the case in the NCAA... I won't argue that b/c it proves my real point. :thumb:
February 27, 200719 yr Teams that have trouble defending have problems over a long series in the playoffs. That's not the case in the NCAA... I said that like a page ago... If it gets noticed when you say it a fit is going to be thrown.
February 27, 200719 yr And you can't compare the tournament runs in the NBA to the NCAA tournament... I'd take D'Antoni in a one-and-done tournament more often tha not. In a 7 game series, though, I'll usually take the other guy on the sidelines. See... I said it....
February 27, 200719 yr Because the Lakers are in the west?:sssh: Thats a solid comeback too. Yeah because of the Lakers.
February 27, 200719 yr I will take D in a one and out tourney as well as a 7 games series. One off night shooting and you are done.
