Stop it. How can you find out how big a kid is going to get. I've got one that might be a little above average. What do you do measure them next to cousins or something?

If they can keep a few kids out of trouble and eligible, they will have some serious speed at the skilled positions and one crazy hitter at linebacker. I am not mentioning names here but this kid took some heads off in the FTJFL last year. AT one point he broke his forearm and wore a soft cast that looked like a club.

 

I hope your right LN about the coming together because it is one of those special athletic classes who could definitely continue the winning streak.

I think he is accurate. He is huge now and his sister is a phenomenal volleball player up at NCC who already has offers I hear. Footspeed will be key for this kid but I wouldnt want to be a DL having to face their size this upcoming freshman year. They could go foot to foot and just run behind those guys.

In addition to those mentioned there are a couple other kids who while much smaller will flat out put you on the ground with tenacity and technique. I'm not so sure all 3 of those big guys will start for the freshman team.

The Frosh have good line size, with work they should be more than bookends. But watchout for some

headhunters, several big hits put some out for the season in Jr League.

What do you consider above average!!!! Yeah i did hear that he is a whole head taller than his much smaller and older cousin.

There are definately some freaks on the defensive side of the ball. I don't see Highlands having many problems stopping people this year both at the line of scrimmage or in the defensive backfield. As far as the trouble and eligibility those are problems everywhere. Besides football is'nt a gentlemans game and some of these young men are'nt very nice people on the football field.:scared:

The BIG THREE for the Baby Birds are as follows. Center Zach Lowe 6'-2 220, Chris "Biscuit" Shroyer 6'-3" 285, and the giant of this bunch is Jack Gruenshlacher 6'-4" weighing in at a tad over 250. Don't know about the other two but Jack G dad says doctors reports are in at 6'10 365. As LN posted above lots of work ahead for the big men with foot speed but they do have a rounded understanding of the game thanks to Ft. Thomas Jr Football league. Go Birds

His dad is about 6'-4" 350 and his mother is 6'-0" and I respect her to the point that I wont even guess her weight. Shes not overweight, I am just not going there. He does have a sister Annie at NCC 6'-3" sophmore volleyball specimen who will pick her D1 college both atheletically and academically. Dad did play OL for Univ Cinti. This should help when the kid quits growing and they can settle on a pair of football cleats and work on that foot speed. I think size 16 now.

His brother Kenny played football for Thomas More. Hes a pretty big guy. He told me this past year he played at 300. And for the record Chris is (pardon the pun) maybe a biscuit shy of 285. Older brother is like father figure to Chris and there should great potential to be a dandy for the birds. Maybe another Rob Smith.

Unless I'm mistaken (and I wasn't involved with the Jr. Football League last year so I'm not too close to this year's frosh) I think there are two or three really big linemen, and I mean really big for frosh.

Sweep would know better the names and weights. Maybe he can give us an early scouting report on the team including likely starters and impact players.

I know with the size of OL you are talking about a serious offensive threat with two bruiser backs in Corey Compton and Austin Bowling. I know they are counting on Austin Abner at QB along with some other pretty shifty guys with explosive speed at receivers. Possibly talking about Dillon Harvey 6'-1 Tight End. Lots of other talent available at these positions as well. Charlie Barr will have them ready as always. Go Birds.

BTW- I am 6'2 220lb..and Zach Lowe is bigger than me as far as girth. I would say maybe 235lbs atleast.

I guess I need to get a copy of that handbook somewhere.
