UK & another 3 game losing streak?

Featured Replies

With Vandy, Georgia & Flordia lined up, could we be looking at our 3rd 3 game losing streak of the year? Has that ever happended? It could possibly be 4 in a row depending on the SEC Tournament. Just a thought.

It would actually only be the 2nd 3 game losing streak of the season, but your point is taken.

And I see UK beating Georgia even if they lose to the other 2.

Thanks for the correction...."my head wasn't in the game"

Beating Georgia but losing to Florida and Vandy puts them at 20-10 (9-7) and tied for 3rd in the East with Georgia in all probability (what's the tiebreaker?)

UK would be 5-5 in their last 10, 1-4 on the road in the same, and still ohfer against ranked teams.

Would UK need SEC tourny wins to bolster their resume?

Nope. 20-10 with the RPI that they'll have will be plenty.

I see the CATS winning against vandy and georgia! No chance at UF though, unfortunately...

As I pointed out yesterday, that's not how the RPI is used...

Well I didn't read what you said :p

Either way I still think its enough.

"Left column wins" and last 10 are the two most important factors.

The CATS may actually be able to start a three (3) game winning streak that should spill over into the SEC tourney! This team doesn't necessarily have to start a negative streak! UK will play Florida hard again and may get the win. Florida has been beat and if everyone shows up for the CATS they can do it also!

Well I hope you're right but we all figured the Cats would show up against Alabama and Tenn too. I'm afraid Kentucky isn't going to fight for anything the rest of the season. Vandy is riding high after that win over Florida, they'll come out fighting against UK and Georgia has nothing to be afraid of playing UK, so I don't see them taking it is. Florida is Florida and since it's in Gainesville it'll be even tougher. Probably a 3 game losing streak heading into the SEC tourney.

If that does happen who would UK likely play first round in the SEC tourney.

If UK loses out, I think they'd be the 5th seed. I think UT goes 3-1 the rest of the way. They'd play the 4th seed of the West (Auburn or Arkansas) and then Florida in round 2.

I think (hope!) the Cats don't drop the Georgia game.

I say they go 3-3 for the rest of the regular season and the SEC tourney. They'll lose to Vandy, Florida, and in the 2nd round of the tourney.

They said as of right now UK is around an 8 or 9 seed, which doesn't set well considering they said they'd play a #1 seed in the following round.
