Wow !!!!!:eek: :scared: What a game that one must have been!

Fairview was up 3 at the end of regulation and the 1st OT.

 

Instead of fouling Maynard before he got the shots off to send him to the line for two, the defender let him launch a couple of 24 footers which he drained.

 

Big time shots by Maynard.

 

I am sure Coach Cooksey wanted a foul on both occasions but didn't get it in time.

 

Hall played an outstanding game for the Eagles.

 

Coach Cooksey's team played hard and may pull one out of the hat against the Tomcats.

One of the best games of the year, give credit to Elliot County, Fairview had them on the ropes and had chances to win it in regulation and the first two overtimes, Maynard had two big three's to tie it at end of regulation and 2nd overtime, I didnt see the scoring, but there Barker and Hall for Fairview and Ferguson for Elliot all three had to be in the 30's

Game was 2 ots not three.Biggest lead for either team was 9(Fairview 18-10 and Elliott 59-50).Maynard hit big threesto tie the game at the end of regulation and at the end of the first ot.

Fairview played zone most of the game while Elliott started off in a diamond and one on Barker.After Hall scored 10 in the first Elliott played straight man for the most part.

 

Very entertaining game and that was not the "same" Fairview team that played East on Friday.

I may be wrong but i believe it was two overtimes. i remember three jump balls at center circle. wow------------what a fun game to watch

Sounds like an awesome game. It was just a couple of years ago that they played a triple overtime game between these two teams at Fairview, the Eagles won that one, can't remember the score but both teams were in the 90's in that one. This is one of the most hard fought rivalries in the area, I am surprised that this game was this close, nice to see Cameron Hall coming on, he is a very talented freshman who is flying under the radar so to speak.

Yes that was a very good game-One of the Faulkners' -(Evan I think) hit a 75 footer at the end of the third quarter.Cameron played very well and with CONFIDENCE!

Elliott continue's to pass the ball very well accounting for sixteen assist tonight. Thirty five rebound's also. Morgan had four rebounds and Greene two assist, but neither got in the scoring column! Elliott's weak spot tonight was the three ball 5-30(16.6%), but they still got the "W".
