The url above doesn't work. But if you are interested in learning about Willie Park Jr check out wikipedia link below.

Has the course been "updated" at all?

BCC is a very nice course. The renovation included 100% new bunkering doubling the square footage, virtually 100% new tees, softening a couple of doglegs, addition of a lake, upgrade of sprinker system and that's about it. BCC is a short course(6300 yards) with trouble on virtually every hole. It is a beautiful old course designed by Willie Park , Jr. who was huge in Brittish golf and may have won a Brittish Open or Amateur, I'm not for sure. It is a fun course that can be a stiff challenge.

With all that being said, in opinion(I am a BCC member), it isn't in the same league as ValHalla, which I have had the pleasure of playing 3 or 4 times.

Bell, let me know when you would like to come to BCC, maybe we can work something out.

Will do.

Hopefully after I pass the PAT I will get to travel and play a little more since it will be more affordable.

I'm sure I should know what PAT stands for but right now I don't recall. Fill me in.

Also, The Traditions is an excellent private course.

...and I'll round out the foursome. :thumb: :thumb:

I'll get right on that for ya'll.

Playing Ability Test.

Anybody know much about Lexington Country Club?

EXTREMELY nice and pretty difficult. There are no small trees at LCC. Not very long, but VERY tight. Greens are pretty tricky too. Other than that, it's pretty simple.....:D

Played there one time. It's a beautiful old course that was a stiff challenge and I really enjoyed it.

Sounds pretty easy then.

Say its the best in Central KY as far as privates?

My personal favorite behind ValHalla would be "The Champions" in Lexington.

Idle Hour is awful nice too, but I think LCC is a better course overall.

On Paris Pike. If you are turn left out of Applebee's Park and go about 3 miles, it is there on the right. You can't miss it. They've done some work on the enterances to make sure you can't miss it.
