The #24 ranked Cats (3-1) travel to Columbia South Carolina to take on the Gamecocks (2-2). The Cats are (1-1) in SEC play and the Gamecocks are (0-2) in league play. I think the Cats should and will win. The game is on the SEC Network on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 4:15pm. Go Cats!!

I think this will be high scoring game with Kentucky getting a 7-14 point win.

Gamecocks are playing without their top defensive player, Dylan Stewart. Suspended indefinitely for throwing a punch at an Alabama player yesterday.

I still think Carolina wins at home, if for no other reason that to save Beamer's job for another week.

Gamecocks being favored in this one really surprises me. Dylan Stewart is not playing. This is always a great game and I do not see this one being any different.

South Carolina 31-28. Cats do look good through 4 games, Williams Brice will be rocking tomorrow. However, expect a delay or two weather will be an issue tomorrow afternoon there.

Kentucky 34-20. This will be Beamer's final game at home and maybe his final game period at South Carolina. IMO South Carolina will be first ones in the pool this offseason when it comes to the coaching carousel. Oklahoma likely joins them next Saturday.

Not a good start for the Cats as the Gamecocks take the opening kickoff and march down on a 10 play 75-yard drive and led the Cats 7-0.

Could not be a worse start for the Cats as they have two 3 and outs and the Gamecocks on 3 possessions have scored two touchdowns and now trail 14-0 with 2:08 left in the 1st quarter.

After 3 possessions the Cats have 18 total yards and the Gamecocks have 158. The Cats 3rd drive was 3 plays for a -2 yards.

South Carolina shoots themselves in the foot with a penalty inside of the Kentucky 10 and have to settle for a FG and now lead Kentucky 17-0 with 11:02 left in the 2nd quarter.
