No, they are good. But not beating NCC good yet.

I have seen NCC and Newport play. I believe Dayton should handle Newport but NCC I believe is two touchdowns better than Dayton. But I have not seen Dayton play.

Got 40% for Yes at the moment and 60% for No. Got good numbers too.

Regardless of what happens with Dayton the rest of this season, the fact that this thread and conversation is happening says how far they have come along compared to where they were at.

Dayton does indeed go 10-0.

Newport is a 3 score victory for the Green Devil's.

NCC should be closer but I still think Dayton pulls off a 2 score win. Their ground game is legit and week by week they will keep getting better at being a little more diverse offensively.

And Dayton's stadium is spectacular. It's cool how the field is painted green to match the school colors like Ludlow's, someone really put some hard thought into that one. The black endzones and sidelines are fire.

I totally agree with you on the black color where you mentioned. It brings out things with it to me more too.

My prediction:

Dayton goes 8-2 losing to Newport and NCC.

They get 1 playoff win and then knocked off.

Comparing this team to the Sayre team 2 years ago is a joke.

Out of curiosity, have you seen Dayton play this year? Or just going based off the past, considering your its still Dayton comment at the end?

This has been my exact thought since seeing this thread. Regardless of what happens, kudos to Coach Herbst, his coaching staff, and the DHS players for putting themselves in a place to even have a conversation like this!

Have watched them all season. They have played some pretty bad teams thus far. Very undisciplined team with lots of penalties and personal fouls. They have size upfront but not very skilled and very overrated. They have two legit threats in the backfield. Extremely one dimensional. Will hurt them down the stretch.

Fair enough, and I agree they have to clean up the penalties. With that said all the years Dayton has played Newport and NCC over the last 20 to 30 years, those teams were the ones with more talent than Dayton. I am not so sure that is the case this season. Plus Dayton definitely will have the most talented player on the field in those games this year. So I do think it will be interesting.

Dayton would beat Aiken by 21. Newport is about to get beat by 28.
