Totally agree on the backup ordeal. They can or have picked up some decent to quality kids in that regard. Grab enough of those and it adds up. Cov Cath's depth is or has in recent years become an issue. St. Henry moves up to 3A and avoids the Beechwood massacre next year correct? It will take St. Henry 20+ years to compete with Beechwood or Cov Cath. I hope I am around to see it.

I like to take creative control over all but I have been corrected by my director and I must do a retake on the scene with Earls returning kicks. That's not going to happen. Earls is not back deep returning kicks anymore. Apparently hasn't for a while. Possibly since he was knocked out of the game returning a punt vs Lloyd last year. So I take #1 Anthrop for 160+ all purpose yards. 1 kick return TD ( punt or kickoff ). 1 Receiving TD also. The kid has game. Can stretch the field deep or break off routes to keep the possession alive. Caught a lot of passes last season from his big brother. #3 Earls is still set to have a good night, count on that. 80+ yards combined receiving and rushing, 1 TD. Aiken shouldn't have been a threat without Conrad and really still wasn't but in my opinion Lloyd looked, to put it nicely...not focused on football. That's what they went and put out on the field. Newport and Aiken would be a great game. " Practice! We talkin bout practice! Practice?? " That's not good for a team trying to get back to a state semi finals game with a roster that is perfectly capable of it. Niederman is definitely the guy to get them egos in check. Dayton does indeed go 10-0. Newport is a 3 score victory for the Green Devil's. NCC should be closer but I still think Dayton pulls off a 2 score win. Their ground game is legit and week by week they will keep getting better at being a little more diverse offensively. And Dayton's stadium is spectacular. It's cool how the field is painted green to match the school colors like Ludlow's, someone really put some hard thought into that one. The black endzones and sidelines are fire.

That 150+ is all purpose. Kick return yards being put into account there. Lloyds got kids taking plays off on special teams, trying to get a breather before they flip over to defense or offense. Didn't see that from them last year, they were head hunters. Earls is going to be a thorn in their side. Lloyds secondary will be okay with Jones, Barger, Peterson and Johnson all being great athletes but can they hold up for 4 quarters playing offense, defense, punt, punt return, kickoff, and kickoff return. It's high school football there is going to be a big play every now and then. Zone coverage comes with some give and take that's where they have to be patient as a whole. Man to man their just fine. Do they have legs late in the 3rd through the 4th? Conditioning. Whose been pushing.

I can't disagree with you there that is what makes it a juggle back and forth. I believe Cov Cath's depth this year really comes from their strength and conditioning program.

Lloyd let far inferior opponents in Aiken and NCC feel like they were in a game for much of those contests. Lloyd shouldn't feel great about that win vs Aiken for what Aiken put out on the field, with the exception of the Falcons 6'8 kid who is a problem for every DB in the tri state. Lloyd should of scored 48, easily, in 3 qtrs. I don't know if they came out scared or what. If Lloyd let's Campbell County hang around like they let NCC or bring the intensity that they did with Aiken, Lloyds regular season win streak dating back to 2024 will be snapped at 16. Campbell County is coming into this one feeling like they are the battle tested big dogs. CC is not lacking confidence that they are the best team on Lloyds schedule. They believe they can push Lloyd around or run by them and they believe they will be able to do what they want by run or pass to control the game. Lloyd has kids who are big and strong, Campbell County feels they match or best that. Lloyd has kids who are fast, Campbell County feels they match or best that. Lloyd's offense was balanced against Conner, not at all vs Aiken. What offense shows up? Do they have true playmakers? Can the Juggs defense, with majority of its players going both ways, actually keep up with a balanced offense for 4 quarters? I forsee special teams making a huge impact in this one. After 4 games Lloyd hasn't really had their special teams put in a pressure situation and Friday all facets of the game will determine who comes out victorious. Campbell County gets a kickoff and/or punt return TD that could be the final margin of victory. The difference in this one comes down to heart and conditioning. Which team has more players with it deep down in their stomach to push through to make a play when they feel like they have no more left. Go lay on the sideline like a bump on a log? High scoring game. Alot of top notch athletes competing to the fullest in this one. Helmets cracking, bodies flying. Intense emotions from the coaches, the players and the most faithful and proud fans. My type of game. Who has the most depth? Everytime I think it's Cov Cath I start to think otherwise. When I lean towards Beechwood, the more recent and all time series history tells me I am over thinking it too much. Both teams are sound across the board. Concrete solid special teams, bone crushing ground attacks, aerial assaults, composed QB's, stout defenses that are discipline, great coaches. No more could one ask ask for to better the Friday night lights in Park Hills. It doesn't seem like long ago this game would have had to of been played on a Saturday. Friday night lights makes it right. Sorry Cov Cath faithful, but Fryman is the 1%. Pabst is a different breed. Queens spiral on the ball is as beautiful as can be. Arrasmith is a gamer. The only one who " could " change the game is Peterson who had 110+ tackles last season. Hasn't played in multiple weeks. The 100 degree turf is likely to melt him like a piece of plastic so I wouldn't count on him being a factor. Roy Lucas Jr. returns to Cecil Dees an he see's where the Juggs are weak.
