I guess their argument is we’ve spent four days preparing for one team since there’s no precedent for this type of decision and now it will be a totally different unit.

It shouldn’t have been a red to begin with, and I have no idea why there’s no formal method of appeal for a red card, but waiting four days and then making an announcement the night before is awfully shady on FIFA’s part.

To me this reinforces a lack of integrity for FIFA/World Cup Soccer.

The absolute sleaziest organization in the world. If you read up on it, it’s almost cartoon level corruption!

I didn't know that but after watching a lot of the on field product that is exactly what my assumption would have been.

USA vs. Belgium getting ready to begin. Go USA!!

A huge save by the US goalie in the first minute of the contest!

We look terrible.

Belgium gets on the board first with a goal after a mental mistake and Belgium leads 1-0 at the 9:36 mark.

Paraguay, Australia, Turkey, and Bosnia aren’t top twenty teams. Belgium is top ten. US probably closer to 20 than 10 and it shows right now.

We have tied it at 1 all just after the 30 minute mark off a deflection by the Belgium player. We will take it!!

Well that did not take long as Belgium takes back the led less than a minute after the US score and it is now 2-1 Belgium.

Well it was exciting for two minutes.

2-1 Belgium at the half.

Holy cow. Absolute garbage.

Also, Pulisic is glass.

Agree. US totally dominated by Belgium. No what ifs in this one. Belgium clearly better in every way. The US battled and looked better in the second half, but Belgium was playing defense. I think the US had 2, maybe 3, shots on goal in the entire match and one was the free kick goal.
