Reds win the game 5-0 and the series! A great job today by the pitching staff allowing only 3 hits over the 9 innings. The Reds are now tied for the major league lead for the most wins while allowing only 1 run or less. Today was their 10th win of the season in allowing that.  Next up is a 3-game series with the Nationals starting of Tuesday night at 6:40pm. Go Reds!!

Reds start off a 3-game series tonight with the Nationals. The Reds have Singer 2-2 going and the Nationals have Mikolas 1-3 on the mound. Go Reds!!

Reds and Nationals 0-0 after 2 innings.

Singer gives up a pair solo homers back-to-back in the top of the 3rd and the Reds fall behind 2-0 with just 1 out still in the top of the 3rd.

Nationals 3-2 after 4.

Yep. That 5th inning did it. At least 4 of the next 5 will be losses.

Nationals 10-4, Final.  Nats hit 6 homers.  Here we go again.

Missed most of it last night, 6 homers won't cut it need to keep winning series as we go as we continue to find our bullpen again. Need to win tonight.

He should fit right in with our staff. lol

Being loyal is one thing but how long is Tito going to keep putting Friedl, Hayes, McLain in the lineup every day. There averages are Friedl .186, Hayes .138, and McLain .204 and if you want to throw in Benson at .188.

In last night's game 5 of the Reds 9 hitters were .204 and below.

Well tonight at least Friedl has been moved down to 8th in the lineup and McLain 9th but we are leading Hayes off and his out to start the inning he is down to .185 now. They walked Steer and Lowe and don't blame them the next 3 hitters the Reds are sending up is Stephenson .184 then Friedl .186 and the McLain at .204.
