This team will not even be in the wild card chase this year.  They will finish in the cellar.

It is all about pitching. It was about pitching before the year started and it is about pitching now. Hunter Greene dealt the team a major blow. Lodolo can't stay healthy. Lowder injured. Williamson can't get healthy. Petty has a blister issue. Singer is pitching through injury because the team needs him with all the other injuries. Starting pitching is a mess and then that shreds the bullpen. If they can get pitchers healthy and have them stay healthy, they can be competitive and even have a shot at the playoffs. Greene, Burns, Lodolo, Abbott, Singer is a very good starting 5.

I can barely stomach the one race, hopefully there will not be any "cheating" or PED allegations after the race.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  Pagan cannot be this teams closer.  He just can't get it done.  Not sure if the Reds have anyone in the organization that can be, but I would much rather se

I would really like to agree with you, but at this time I just can't, yes pitching wins.  These guys can't throw strikes, they've maxed out their pitch counts in five or six innings and the bull pen, well enough said.

Time will tell.

The Reds move southeast to Philly to take on Philadelphia for a 3-game series starting tomorrow evening with first pitch at 6:40pm. Go Reds!!

5-4Reds go down to the Phillies 5-4.  The bullpen crumbles again.

Oh well, on to the next one.

Burns gives up a solo shot to Turner in the bottom of the 3rd and led the Reds 1-0 after 3 innings.

Reds take the lead after an Elly triple and a Steer infield single and a Stewart walk back-to-back sac flies by Myers and Biedy to put the Reds up 2-1 after 3 1/2 innings.

2-1 Reds after 4.  They score 2 runs on  2 sac flys.

Hayes has now hit into back to back double plays.  Will this guy ever hit, my guess is no.

Santillan on in the bottom of the 9th, can he hold a 3 run lead?
