The story of round 1 is undoubtedly the run on OT.

With the #29 pick (their 2nd of the first round) the Chiefs select DT Peter Woods from Clemson.

The Jets get a 3rd pick in the first round after another trade this one with 49ers and select WR Omar Cooper out of Indiana. I think that is a good get by the Jets!

Steelers don't have Marvin Jones they have Broderick! Max is going to be awesome for the Steelers!

The Bills have traded down now for the 3rd time this time with the Titans and they take Keldric Faulk out of Auburn with the #31 pick.

Of course he will be. I am just glad the Bengals didn't select him then it would have been terrible. lol

With the #32 and the final pick of the 2026 NFL first round the Seattle Seahawks select Jadarian Price RB Notre Dame.

Congrats to the Steelers organization for the outstanding job of hosting the 2026 NFL Draft. They set a new record for the opening night of the draft with over 320,000 people. I also love the picks coming in faster than in years past. It is now on to rounds 2 & 3 tomorrow night.

I think the first-round winner in the draft were the Jets. They ended up with 3 picks and got three very good prospects. They also have 3 first round picks as well in the 2027 draft. I also think the other New York team and John Harbaugh had a good draft as well along with the Titans.

He dominated at the Senior bowl 6'6 321 pounds and runs a 4.9! Steelers got a bulldozer with nitrous!

The NFL are marketing guru's with the how big they have made the draft process.

All the talking heads l listened to last night named the Jets as the clear day one winner.

Agree on all counts, I thought the Steelers/NFL crushed it and the picks moving from 10 to 8 minutes felt better to me.  On the rest of the timing from Google:

Draft Time Limits by Round (2026)
Round 1: 8 minutes.
Round 2: 7 minutes.
Rounds 3-6: 5 minutes.
Round 7: 4 minutes.

Also, if you follow any of the talking heads on twitter, I would suggest just logging off on draft nights. Every pick is leaked before it is announced. 

The 49ers are on the clock currently to being Round 2 of the draft. The Commissioner announced that there is already over 220,000 on hand for the start of round 2.
