Reds in the top of the 10th the Reds get Elly to be the runner on 2nd, and he scores on a hit by Suarez. It looked like Elly hurt his right shoulder on the headfirst slide into home on the run.

Reds pickup 2 more in the top of the 10 and led 7-4!

Ashcraft now tries to get the save for the Reds they have 2 outs and the tying run at the plate.

Reds win on a called third on the pitch com challenge and sweep the Twins and have won 3 in a row and 5 out of last 6 and head to Tampa for a 3-game series starting tomorrow night at 6:40pm. Go Reds!!

I like Pagan in the bullpen.  Just not convinced he is a closer.

Feel like Santillan would be a better fit.

He was atrocious all day!

Closing is a psychological hurdle. Maybe Santillan can do it but he can be shaky in the 8th. Not sure he is ready yet. Both he and Ashcraft are getting there. Ashcraft got his 1st save. He was 0-6 in save chances before getting his 1st save. For now I think Pagan is the best option, but he has to keep producing.

When we get the two starters back in the rotation what's your thoughts on trying to convert Burns to a closer.  I just don't Pagan can take us to the promised land.

Burns needs innings. Leave him alone for now. Let him get experience. End of year and possible post season might be a different story.
