A lot of parents in the community have unreal expectations from the coaches instead of looking at the admin that is doing the hiring.

DCA’s Leek Ateny named to the KY/OH and the KY/IN All Star teams.

Guy Turner to Somerset I believe is a lock. Will definitely help them in replacing Absher. 

I always thought him moving to Paris, was sort of strange to begin with. I thought he might have ended up back at Boyle.

Now that it's been confirmed that Turner is at Somerset the question in my mind becomes one of whether or not he'll play basketball.  He's played up until now and is good.  Somerset can definitely use him after losing Absher and Grundy.  Does anyone know how old he is and if eligibility will be an issue?

Somerset will have a solid backcourt with Stevens, Lewis and Turner.

He will play. Eligibility shouldn't be an issue.

I realize that now, I misunderstood the eligibility requirements when it comes to age.  

Good luck coaching a player who has played for 4 teams in 4 years.

This was a really solid class of Seniors for the 12th region.  College commitments I’ve seen thus far: Walker Craig (Rock) Pikeville University, Aedyn Absher (Somerset) Union Commonwealth University, Kendall Phillips (Wayne Co.) University of the Cumberlands.  One would have to think Leek Ateny will get a big time offer at some point after all star games.  Look forward to following all this talent from our region.

And the MAC is perfectly situated now in this era as a leaping spot into the power conferences if you perform well. I am really pulling for this kid.
