February 13, 200719 yr I know this post is about Dunn & Marty but we don't have anyone who can lead off. Freel can steal bases but he hits about .270 I HOPE he hits 270 in the leadoff position all year. He's struggled there in the past (if I remember correctly), but they don't have a better option.

I thought about BP in the 1 and the 2, but if I was making one card I'd have to keep the best speed at the 1 and the best contact hitter at the 2. I think Dunn batting 3rd would boost his numbers. I just think a righty and lefty behind him that are both good hitters would keep people from pitching around him. Also, I think (and everyone seems to be in agreement) that he needs to sit on the first pitch more often. I do like your line-up though!!
February 13, 200719 yr I think that is overrated. Tell that to left-handed batters and pitchers. There's a reason it's easier to make it to the bigs as a lefty.
February 13, 200719 yr I think that is overrated. When you get in to late innings you are giving teams an easy decision on who and how to pitch. When you balance the order you make those decisions much harder. Baseball 101...
February 13, 200719 yr In 68 trips to the plate in the 2 hole last year BP hit .188... If he would hit in the 1 or 2 hole it would be great, but every time they moved him up, he seemed to slump.
