Both wanted to don the Blue and White but one was too weak and the other too slow?

Lookin at it now, yeah its easy to say they would have helped out alot. If we got them two that would mean that Crawford and Bradley wouldn't be here, and we would have had a class with Rondo, Lofton, Brewer and Morris. Which as I said looking at it now after seeing what they all can do, its pretty obvious who you take..But go back 3 years ago it was pretty obvious who you took out of high school. And that was the people that we did take. As I have said before there is pretty much no pleasing some people. If we had took the guys like Brewer and Lofton, and if they didn't develop here as good as they did at their places, then you all would be bashing the staff for not taking the 5 star guys...

OK the first 3 are fine. But was Bradley better ranked or had better stats than Loften or Brewer?

These threads always crack me up. Tubby gets the consensus number 1 class in America three years ago and everyone is happy. Now everyone wants to blame him for bypassing guys not ranked as high. I'm sure Tubby would not have caught any flack if he told Randolph Morris and Rajon Rondo "Sorry, we're full. Although you guys are in the top 10 in the nation, McDonald's All-Americans nad 5 star recruits by every rating system, we're giving our last two scholarships to Chris Lofton and Corey Brewer."

He was higher than both. I agree these threads are a waste of time. Coulda, shoulda, woulda...

Bradley was ranked higher than Lofton but not Brewer. But as I pointed out in the game thread last night, statistically speaking Bradley and Brewer are the same player right now.

And to answer the question in this threads title, I don't think that UK would be any better if they had Lofton or Brewer. Guards have not been our problem, it's the lack of any depth beyond Morris in the post that has cost us the most games.

What if we had this player or that one. These types of topics are silly. What if they had Superman then nobody would beat them.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

If we are going to talk about players we should have got then we need to talk about the players we missed in the 03 and 05 classes which are the guys who are seniors and juniors right now, because if we got better players in those classes then that would have helped the Cats out alot more than getting Brewer or Lofton...

Everyone sees how players play in OTHER systems.

 

Don't forget, were Tubby to be coaching them instead, there is NO guarantee that they'd be playing at the same level as they are in other programs.
