11th Region changed it back this year to all games being held at EKU.

I could definitely see that West Jessamine and Southwestern rotation being on purpose given who coaches there (and who coached there previously).

Excited to get this started tonight! I believe the first matchup will be interesting. How will Somerset limit Driver? And can Boyle’s guards do anything to match Somerset’s?

It would be time well spent for Boyle’s coaches to study the two SHS/PC games.  PC had a good game plan, as they usually do.  

As far as Somerset goes it’s important to take care of the ball.  Driver thrives on running the floor.  Those spectacular dunks only count as two points but they fire the entire team up to play harder.

Nothing like a 12th region tournament! 

I think Southwestern and DCA win tonight to setup a final four of West/Boyle and Southwestern/DCA. Honestly, I think Boyle gets to the finals. Crazy to say, but they are playing well at the right time and are SUPER physical, bodes well with 11th region officials that let them play.

The key matchup in the West/Boyle game might be Stiefel vs Wheeler.  Wheeler is Boyle’s best offensive threat and Stiefel is West’s best defender.

I agree Boyle is playing well.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an all 45th regional final.  I don’t think the 45th was as weak as many  thought they were. 

Stiefel was a great pickup for West.  He’s a difference maker on both ends.  Game changer for them this late in year and hard to prepare for. 

So I am totally bought in on Rockcastle. I think Rockcastle wins tonight. I think it could be by 9 or more. 

I also think the DCA vs. East game can go in two directions - East never fires up and DCA smothers them and its something like 60-41 or East swings the momentum a few times early just enough that DCA never gets separation and it ends up a toss up right at 50 a piece.

I think we are headed for a Boyle County - Rockcastle final.
