Final - per KHSAA Scoreboard. Now does that move Caverna into the #1 team in Region 5?

I'm not sure that it does, but it could move Adair down the pecking order.  It's also making my earlier comments on Larue County look better.

Statement win.  I believe it was at Adair too.

As of right now, I'd still say North is #1 team. They also defeated Adair this week. As of today I'd say it's North, Caverna, Taylor, Larue, then Adair.

It feels like it has never quite clicked with Adair this year. I still think they are capable of winning the region but have to think at this point they've not quite reached expectations.

Defensively, they have struggled.  With George, Gilbert and Blakey inside scoring is typically not been the issue.  Not very deep either outside of those 3 guys.

North Hardin became the favorite once Berry got eligible. I think Berry is the best player in the Region.

Adair handled Larue fairly easy when they played. It is very interesting how well Larue has played Caverna though beating them once without Lightning and losing only by 2 when he was eligible. Also Adair had North down 1 in the 4th at North the other night so not a huge gap there either.

Adair County has fallen off a cliff, won just 3 of there last 11, but maybe they can turn it around.

Yeah I do not understand this turnaround for the worst at all! Roster has pretty much stayed in tact, I think George missed one game! Defense Defense Defense has been a big issue but early on their offensive explosiveness was enough to combat lack of defense. Would love to see them get back on track to make for a more exciting 5th Region Tournament! Opening round game district game against Marion at this point is a toss up!
