Another good win for Scott Co. Good Job!

This was an UGLY game. Neither team played well. Lots of turnovers and missed shots. The two that were most fun to watch tonight were Jimmy Warren for Scott Co. and Terell Combs for Station. Walls hit some big shots down the stretch.

They probably will be. Henry Clay lost to Sayre so that throws a wrench in things. The way I understand the agreement is that Scott Co., Henry Clay, and Station agreed to only play Sayre once and have whatever the outcome count as two games in the district seeding. (I bet they change that policy now). Anyway that means Scott Co. and Station will be 1 and 2 unless Scott Co. tanks and loses to Henry Clay tomorrow and Sayre on Saturday.

Wow, one loss to Sayre equals two, I agree that policy won't last long.

John Schulman - the head coach at UT Chatanooga - was there tonight to watch Matt Walls. Now we're getting warmer...

Shelvin Mack usually handles pressure better than he did tonight (9 turnovers). I my mind, that was a huge key to Bryan Station's loss.

 

It is nice to see Cameron Hundley have a nice game against his father's alma mater!

Jimmy Warren made it his personal goal to get up in Mack. He's really been a warrior for the Cards of late.

 

Cameron played hard and got some big rebounds in the second half. I wish Cam could stay the warrior that he is and develop his daddy's jump shot. Ted can still fill it up:thumb:

The policy of playing Sayre once is actually for Sayre's benefit. In many years, six games against the likes of Scott County, Henry Clay and Bryan Station means a good chance of six lopsided losses.

 

The same approach has been used in other districts at times.

 

Considering the fluke nature of Henry Clay's loss (the Blue Devils missed 16 straight free throws) to Sayre, I wouldn't be so sure that the policy will change anytime soon.
