How are they going to reload in the offseason? They have the highest defensive payroll this year in the NFL and what has that got them? If they lose to the Bills this week, they be back in 9th place in the AFC and not in the playoffs.

I took the Bengals against the spread yesterday and didn’t think twice about it. Baltimore - despite their recent winning streak against a slew of horrific QBs - has been showing us who they are. 

If the Bengals win the division they are in the playoffs, regardless of record correct?

Draft, they have 12 draft picks and they always  do pretty good in the draft.

Baltimore is the most puzzling team in the division. Their offense just can't seem to get in sync, then that puts pressure on their defense and it all turns into underperformance. I know injuries have been an issue for Lamar, but I think he really needs to get his running game going to make it all work as it has in the past.

And adding on to my earlier point, their recent defensive prowess has been fool’s gold. They’ve defeated Caleb Williams, Tua, JJ McCarthy, Gabriel/Sanders, and Tyrone Taylor. And yes, the offense has not looked right for some time. Their best offensive effort in their winning streak was against Chicago when Huntley was starting. It’s been off since Lamar has returned.

I believe I am a pretty objective fan and I was disappointed in the Ravens last night.  Whatever tier they have been in the recent past, they are at least one level down this year.  They are not the same Ravens.

They will keep staying in that dreaded middle ground like the Bengals were with Marvin Lewis and Dalton. Never a true threat, but never bad enough to truly reload and get that franchise QB.

Yes and would host the first round playoff game. Which is a true possibility, if they win out. The hard part is winning out, but they have shown they are capable of going on end of season runs now with Burrow.

I heard a talking head on TV the other day saying the current Steelers are the Marvin Lewis Bengals.

Yep, and that is a horrible spot to be in. Which is what happens when you have average at best QBs leading your team. Never a true threat to win it all, but good enough to where you won’t be horrible either. The Steelers are at that point again until they can find a true franchise QB again.

Yep, like I and others always said, we will see how things go for the Steelers once Big Ben retires and it has not been good, especially by their standards.
