Central Hardin comes into this first round playoff game having won for the first time this season last week vs North Bullitt. They are finally getting healthy and their offense was able to generate the highest point total of the season at 34.

McCracken County comes into this game after losing to Graves County 41-27 last week. The Mustangs come into this game with a 5-5 record.

These two teams met last season in the second round of the playoffs with the Bruins coming out on top 45-28.

McCracken County QB Maddox O'Neal has thrown for 2152 yards on the season. His favorite target is Jakari Matchem (1072 yards).

Their leading rusher is Landon Newman who has rushed for 947 yards on the season.

My Prediction:

McCracken County 46

Central Hardin 14

CH uncharacteristically bad this year - I look for a bounce back next year - too good a program.  Mustangs by 21.

My prediction of all local area county schools losing in the first round is coming to fruition. North Hardin and Meade County went down last night, Central Hardin should be out after tonight and I think that Franklin Simpson should be favored vs John Hardin. Even Etown and Calloway County is a toss- up. Epically bad football in the Hardin County area the past 2 years.

Any thoughts on why?  A school or two isn’t unusual, but this many?  I wouldn’t think that people are moving out of Hardin County in droves.
